Here's a 4-picture sequence that relies heavily on DOF to tell the story.  As I was stalking behind my partners, I said to myself "next point, open up that aperture and use THAT to tell the story".

To me, it's really quite astounding how well it works:

Frame 1 "Oh, is something over there?"
Frame 2 "Something IS over there!"
Frame 3 "What's over there, Blaze?"
Frame 4 "Get ready!"
