I’ve wanted a Benelli M2 for decades, pretty damn excited. Let’s see those scatter guns!

First ever semi auto. Love it. After shooting turkey loads through my Remington pump today, I might have to get a semi auto hunting shotgun. I am… sore |

Tag. I've got a 1301 comp pro coming in the mail but kinda tempted to call it off, pony up a little more coin, and get a nice over/under instead.
Might just need to get both |

If you use the forend to put pressure against the shoulder, after you shoot, the action won't function. You have to move the forend forward to get it to cycle. The latch release won't even work to release it. I've been shooting pump shotguns all my life and have never seen something that stupid. I've never seen a 12ga do this, and I've always pulled backward on the forend to get the shotgun to seat and minimize the kick. When the trigger is pulled, the forend moves and cycles the action. With the SW you have to move the forend forward after the shot to release the action. I guess the moral of the story is to buy shotguns from shotgun companies. |

I really want a 1301 but I talked myself out of spending $1900. I’ll try to be satisfied with my 590 Marine which is 8+1. Is the Magpul stock and forend worth it?

Winchester Defender is my favorite pump. Light and the fastest smoothest action of any pump gun I've ever shot.
My Berretta 1201 T is my favorite semi although I've picked up a Rem Versamax Tactical for a crazy deal. It's really nice too, but I doubt as strong as a real Benelli. |

When I first got out of the service, my first job was at a local gun shop. While working there, I bought my first "adult" guns...a Benelli M1 Super 90, a Bushmaster AR (early 90's) and a Glock. Local 3-gun matches had just started popping up in the Raleigh area. I shot a match one Sat, and after the match went to my girlfriend's apartment and spent the night. She wasn't a fan of guns, so I left them in the trunk (locked, or course) overnight and when I got up the next morning, the window was smashed, the trunk was open, and they were gone. Several other cars were hit that night as well, including my GF's, but they hit the jackpot with mine.
I've since replaced the AR & Glock, ten-fold, but I've wanted another M1 since. About a year or so ago, I found this HK-marked one at a local shop, on consignment. It's in fantastic shape, basically like "new - old stock"...box, manual, etc. Attached File And my FNSLP Attached File |

A home defense shotgun is like your appendix...a relic of some bygone era, rendered unnecessary by evolution. But everyone still has one...and occasionally, they do still kill people.
