Secret RCMP report warns Canadians may revolt once they realize how broke they are

A secret RCMP report is warning the federal government that Canada may descend into civil unrest once citizens realize the hopelessness of their economic situation.

“The coming period of recession will … accelerate the decline in living standards that the younger generations have already witnessed compared to earlier generations,” reads the report, entitled Whole-of-Government Five-Year Trends for Canada.

“For example, many Canadians under 35 are unlikely ever to be able to buy a place to live,” it adds.

The report, labelled secret, is intended as a piece of “special operational information” to be distributed only within the RCMP and among “decision-makers” in the federal government.

A heavily redacted version was made public as a result of an access to information request filed by Matt Malone, an assistant professor of law at British Columbia’s Thompson Rivers University, and an expert in government secrecy.

Describing itself in an introduction as a “scanning exercise,” the report is intended to highlight trends in both Canada and abroad “that could have a significant effect on the Canadian government and the RCMP.”

Right from the get-go, the report authors warn that whatever Canada’s current situation, it “will probably deteriorate further in the next five years.”

Another article on that report:

The Canadian Sickness

Blames populism and the other usual ism suspects

Thus, the burden of the report is that citizen disillusionment with the Liberal government is owing to “misinformation,” “conspiracy theories” and “paranoia.” The government’s policies are not at fault with regard to the approaching social and economic collapse. In a mainly blacked out and awkwardly written section we read, rather, that “authoritarian movements have been on the rise in many liberal-democratic nations” and “Capitalizing on the rise of political polarization and conspiracy theories have been populists willing to tailor their messages to appeal to extremist movements.” The allusion is obviously to the leader of the Conservative Party, Pierre Poilievre, who is currently riding high in the polls. Therefore, “Law enforcement should expect continuing social and political polarization fueled by misinformation campaigns and an increasing mistrust for all democratic institutions.” In consequence, the report recommends that “Emergency management planning should be considered by law enforcement decision-makers to ensure continued levels of service delivery.” We know what that means. The hypocrisy on display is frankly indigestible.

When it happens, it will be all the excuse the government needs to enact the plan for an authoritarian regime. It's the exact same scheme the democrat-communists plan to enact here. It's not difficult to figure out it's why they are so obsessed with disarming the population. Except for the illegals, of course, who will become The Party's armed muscle after everything collapses. Never before have the democrat-communists been so close to absolute power. They can taste it now and it's driving them into a control-mad frenzy.

Living in a time of decay, probably near the end.  Ever wonder what someone living in Rome felt like as their currency was being debased and the barbarians (I sometimes think of the goths and then the Huns when reading about the situation at the border) were at the gates and coming through?  Now you know.

Interest rates are up.  Canadians with low rates will be financially slaughtered.

Their loan balances will have to be refinanced at the end of every five year cycle, exposing them to any increase in rates that have occurred.

May I ask why reply and bump the post ?

To call attention to the bullshit type post, which the OP is well known for posting.  It is election season and the left leaning trolls are already very active here.  Threads designed to rile people up will become very common and I'm just trying to make people aware of how they are being manipulated.  Look at all the buzzwords in quotes in the OP, all there on purpose to sensationalize.  Then not even "will be released tomorrow" but "it will PROBABLY happen in the next 5 years."  LOL.  It is beyond laughable about how made up the entire story is.  That isn't to say Canada isn't having problems, just this report on things is bullshit.

The message this thread conveys is "you are being screwed by the government", "the government is lying to you", "the government is doing secret things behind your back"....etc.  Sure all those things are true and they always have been.  It isn't breaking news and it isn't some secret.  The intend of this thread was to get people pissed off, riled up, and upset based on something we already knew was going on and no real news.  Then the Left will point to the responses  as proof the Right is unhinged, anti-government, and full of conspiracy nuts.

I've lived here all my life and I don't recognize it.

Hopefully the sitting gov't will be brutally slammed into the boards 'next election.
They know it's going to happen and it looks like they're just trying to fuck things up as much as they can for the incoming administration before they leave.

Trudeau and his cadre of thieves haven't made one decision or passed any legislation that has helped Canadians.
'Seems their entire focus over the last 8 years has been on taxation.

It's like every time a problem pops up all they can do to deal with it is think up a new tax.
It's basic and unimaginative.

I hope you're right.
Shocking thing is that the commies are still polling at 40%+ around the world .
People are begging for less personal responsibility and more Gov social control.
The idea of charting your own course and personal responsibility is feared more than death for the commies.

You can replace "Canadian" with "American"

and

"RCMP" with "FBI"

That said, Canada has a lot going for it, including natural resources and plenty of room to stretch your legs if you can deal with the cold.

It's not just Canuckistan but also here.  The disparity of wealth here may also be attributed to the Federal Reserve which picks the winners and the losers.  Those who have first access to cheap freshly created dollars win and get richer.  Those further down get inflation.  Guess what side of the equation you're on?

Wealth disparity can result in peasant uprisings/rebellions.  Whether it's becomes a revolution is uncertain but one thing is certain, free effusion of blood.

The democrat-communists dream of a day when the normals are cold, hungry, terrified, and desperate. However, they don't want that until all of the normals are disarmed and on their knees. The very thought is organismic to the reptilian left.

You don’t have to shoot your way out of a revolt….. A revolt can simply mean not going to work and letting country grind to a stop until the Silent Hands remove them from power and replace them with a puppet that tells the people what they want to hear. The people still get fucked but the .gov wants to hang on to power as long as they can.
