I have a small corgi at home, have any of you seen a prey drive with your female shepherds?

I'd love to get a female shepherd but I don't want her to possible hurt my corgi due to size difference

I have a Mal and a French bulldog. My Mal has a crazy prey drive. But she is good with the frenchie. Growing up together will *usually* mean they'll get along fine with a size difference.

I gotta give the wife credit for putting this together.  His ears are flopping now but will go back up when he's done teething.

I adopted my first GS mix this past July. Life changing. He is the most loyal dog I have ever owned hands down. I was about to go looking to either buy a purebred or use the GSD/Mali specific adoption sites to find one, but my wife has a strong opinion on breeders, which I can understand (there's some really bad ones in my area) and insisted I check my local Shelter first. And there on the last page was this guy. He is a mix GS/Mali with Yellow lab according to my vet and his papers. He is my shadow, and the most loyal little guy I have ever had (My pitt is sweet and loyal too but he loves his mommy lol) He is 9 years old, but shows absolutely no signs of his age. He sold me on the GS breed. He has 0 ball drive from being cooped up and alone most of his life and didn't really know how to play but has the nose of a bloodhound and loves to chase cows.

My son was building a small hobby forge yesterday in the back yard.  Cain was way too willing to help.

Getting plaster off of a GSDs nose is not as easy as you would think.

That is my old club. If you were out there last Thursday I was there while Khoi was testing your dog, but I did not see him doing it. There is a PSA trial in a couple weeks in Mesquite hosted by that club. You should come check it out. How far along in training is your dog? OB? any grip work?

No he is from Celiks Home in Holland. That is a High in Trial Plaque from a trial in Colorado last year. It is a memorial trophy named after Jerry dog Rocky. Jerry was the judge at the trial so it was a cool award.

I was out there as well, I asked you where your dog was from. I think I had my female out at the time.

One thing to consider is it was a new place and alot of new smells sounds and strange dogs and action.

Maybe bring her out a couple times and let her adjust to all the action.

Kerry and I have exchanged quite a few bites with our dogs.

Where have you been training?

Regards

Very cool!  I've lucked out training with him before and looks like more coming up.   Guy is an encyclopedia.  He's also fun to watch destroy morons who shouldn't be teaching in conferences, polite but sharp.
