Not a pic but a guy that delivered samples for us called me to tell me that he had just been in accident and that the sample would be late. He hung up and he was hit by an 18 wheeler and was killed.

I was working a few blocks away from where it hit. We used to joke about having an airliner crash into the office. We all knew exactly what it was when we heard it. We never joked about that again. It was a part time job I had while in college.

Army photographer captures her own death in mortar explosion

Army Specialist Hilda Clayton was killed by a mortar explosion in 2013, but the military only just recently released a chilling image she captured in the final moments of her life. The 22-year-old combat photographer was working with members of the Afghanistan National Army when the mortar accidentally exploded.

Her photograph captures an Afghan soldier reacting to the blast during a live-fire training exercise. Four Afghan soldiers were killed in the blast.

I believe one of the navs initiated ejection and this is the hatch cover blowing off but the seat never made it.

Beat and corrected--co-pilot,, not nav.

It was called a massacre for a reason.

He may have survived the tank, but some reports say he was executed by the government later

There's a bunch of speculation on what happened to him but nobody knows. Just like the number of protestors killed, Chinese officials claim 200ish protestors were killed but other estimates are in the several thousands, we'll never know the truth.

Because he didn’t live

And thousands were run over by tanks and the torn up parts were hoses down into the city’s sewage tunnels.
