Replacing a bathroom faucet this weekend and it has PEX supply lines.  Should I leave them as-is or replace them with Chinesium braided lines? From what I understand the rubber inside breaks down due to the chlorination in the water. Is there an alternative without having to buy a bunch of tools?
The corrosion on the top appears to be from a leaking faucet cartridge. These are original to the house which was built in 2001.

I always do braided. That said I don't think it matters much. I'd not be concerned with your current setup either but trim the compression rings off and use fresh. You may or may not have enough pex piping to allow for that. Might need to get new.
My house uses both.
