the APX A1 Carry is a 'micro' 9mm single stack. not well-regarded for its trigger

there are ALSO the APX A1 Full size -- double stack 9mm similar size to Glock 17

and the APX A1 Compact (formerly known as the Centurion) double-stack 9mm similar size to Glock 19

The Full-size and Compact (formerly Centurion) ARE definitely worth taking a look at if you're interested in something other than a Glock.

Slight correction - There are 3 sizes of double stack apx - full size, centurion, and compact. These are great pistols. The fullsize has 17 or 21rd mags, centurion uses 15rd, the compact also uses 13rd mags. Beretta I guess decided to discontinue the real compact version with the a1 redesign- and changed the name of the centurion to the a1 compact - which uses 15rd mags. You can still buy a new, real 13rd compact grip frame and factory mags if one wants the shorter grip fyi
The apx single stack is a beretta nano with a facelift- not great, but not horrible pistols either. They are small and fit that role.
