Jeeeezus.

A German Shepherd just came to me asking for help.

I had to run a cat off of the giant dog bed, so the German Shepherd could lie down.

The animal hierarchy is fucked at our house.

Just sayin.

I installed some at my sisters for her, it would be sweet to have some at our house too.  My kid is too wild for hard floors, she is always doing stunts.  Maybe in a few years

Time to get out the snow machines.

That's alright at least you measure, I need to do that, especially when working up a load.  I'm sure I would have better results then eyeballing them.

You know why I love this thread?

I do not have to defend my decision to not put a suppressor on my (three) 870s.  In particular the home defense one I keep by my bed.

ETA:  I wish this Sa/oU thread had been around three years ago.

I think it would have saved me a lot of grief and drama.

That sounds great though.  I just keep handguns for home defense.. when I move I'll shift up to something larger (like an AR).  As it stands now if I shot at an intruder I'd likely put rounds into the next house if I missed.  Garden homes aren't self defense friendly.

We're trying to decide whether to move to the country or move to the fancy suburbs.  So far I'm leaning toward the countryside.

I love this thread because I don't have the argue with 'tards.  I just had my fill of that in the "affair" thread.  Enough is enough..

We are in the country, but we still have neighbors.

A rifle in any suburb will put a round into your neighbor's house or yard.

A shotgun, not so much.

A handgun requires perfect aim to hit a target.

I have great aim. If I can see.

At night, with my contacts out, I can't see.

So....shotgun.

I'm good with a shotgun. It's like I was born with it against my shoulder.

12 gauge pump. 18.5" barrel.   You wanna fuck with me?  Come through five rounds of .00  buck aimed in your direction.

Nobody is gonna do that. I'm not worth it.

TADA!!! Home defense.

That's awesome kitty.

No I do not want to fuck with you cause kitty with sigs is a kitty with claws.

We have a multi layer, family member weapon assignment, emergency plan.  I take AR15 and 45 at point, the wife takes shotgun and her 38 at choke point in case I go down and the wife is last line of defense of our daughter who has 10/22 carbine hiding in closet.  I hope this plan is never tested.

I hope not too.

But you are freaking AWESOME for having your family trained and a plan in place.

I bet you will never have to use that, because I believe that our free, safe country will stand.

I don't care who doesn't like that. I will keep believing.

But it's still freaking awesome that you have that plan. Good on you.

Nice! Oh and good morning all. Gd is a rough and tumble place full of trolls and such.
It also is the best free entertainment that can be had. Some of the old codgers around here have survived more than a few blowups.
It's nice to have a place to relax for a few. Nice to see you both up. Of the two I would pick country mouse.

Started cleaning the gun room today. Consolidating all the Federal bulk stuff and the Remington stuff too.
I noticed the last time I went shooting. That some of the golden bullet stuff made funny noises and shot erratically.
So I tossed it aside.Well I absent mindlessly just poured them in with the rest. So do I hand sort out these misshapen ones.
Or just shoot them.

Uhg... cull them out for plinking only while watching the news or something.  How many are we talking about? 50 mixed in with 1000?

I would still isolate them personally.  Good for you tackling that gun room clean up.  You might even find some stuff you forgot you had, thats always nice.

If you're familiar with the Puckle Gun, the profile on those bullets could actually make sense. (and has comedic value as well)

I've got two holsters from here.  One with a light and one without.  The one with the space for the light works for either my G22 or G35.  The one without the light only fits my G22.  I put a set of Raven Concealment "wings" on that one and use it as an IWB holster.

As far as Self Defense rounds I use Federal 180 gr. HST's.

Yes long timed hike/mt run and started lifting again then yard work, and carpet cleaning.  Yea I am feeling it today.

I dont know why I lifted when the yard work consisted of moving 1200 pounds of stones 300 pounds of pavers from on side of the yard to the other.

With a minimum in hassle. I was going to use the 147gr Hydroshocks Or something similar. .

I saw at least five Glocks so what are you kids using for a holster and defense ammo.

HST's.

I've got my light version on one of those heavy range belts (with the cobra buckle) and it was tough to get on (actually took to belt loops off the hoster, placed it on the belt then reattached the loops.)  On a standard type belt it goes on no problem.

The 147gr. HST are about the best for SD purposes, I guess the 147gr HydroShocks are very close.  Then you have to drop down to the 124 gr versions.  In that weight range the Speer Gold Dots rate very high also.

Worked all day in Eloy,  windy as all hell in a 35ft scissor lift. Got back too late to catch rain.

I've got two Blade Techs, one for the G35 and one for the 1911.  Like them pretty good, both are OWB and have the ASR and the Stingray mounts.
