Don Pepin Blue generosos & some Miller

I bought a 5 pack of these awhile ago & was not impressed, actually thought about tossing them after the first (or sending them to echo.).

After about a year it has changed dramatically for the better .....must be one of those.

Anyway, definately a good smoke but give them a nap first

Last Night

Me - Htusa #4

G/F - Htusa #3

Don't know what they were yet, but they were both very good cigars. We both thought #3 was the better of the 2...just more our style of cigar.

Can't wait to find out what they were.

Congrats.

We should have a "really big news cigar" thread. I smoked the same earlier in the year when I got big news.

These seem to be popular right now so I had to try one. It's definitely a change of pace. It smells like my Pirate Kake pipe tobacco, so it must have some latakia in it.

I liked the one I had OK.  The flavor wasn't as strong as I feared.  If they were a bit cheaper they could be something I'd smoke occasionally but I like too many cigars better in that price range.  It doesn't have Latakia in it, but the fire cured Kentucky tastes similar.

Smoking a Punisher Shorty. The first quarter was a lot of pepper. Now it is starting to mellow out and a strong leathery taste is coming in.

So far I am not really enjoying it, I will go half way then decide it's fate.

Bareknuckle Punch. It was really harsh, and my mouth felt like it was drying out during the first and last third. The second I got a bit of pepper and earth. Can't say I'm a big fan of them so far, but I have 4 more to get a real opinion.

It might have Latakia in it... When the local rep was asked he kinda said yes.
