I have to work 23 more shifts between now and 6/20/24 when I finish a 37 yr career.

4 more Mondays, 6 Tuesdays, 5 Wednesdays, 6 Thursdays & 2 Fridays. No Saturdays or Sundays.

Can't wait to GTFO out of Tampa and enjoy my cabin in the Blue Ridge.

I’m at 408 days as of today and that’s only by choice. I can go now but I have a couple of reasons I’m hanging out. (Federal law-enforcement).    Enjoy your retirement.

13 shifts left between now & 6/6/24. Chained to a desk by my command.

Just got back from a 5 day cruise to Grand Cayman & Mexico. Other than being bored on the job, life is GOOD !

Take your first week after your walk out off and do as little as possible to recenter your bubble.

I left the first pay period I was eligible and not a day goes by that I don't think that was the right move. I am living a good country life now and can't imagine ever going back!

Surrounded by my kids & my youngest sister, I went X-7 for the final time today and am X-42. I received two shadow boxes. One from a partner agency with 3 of their challenge coins and a pic and one from my unit with all my body armor tear offs. I also got 5  bottles of bourbon to include Four Roses small batch, Woodford Reserve, Old Forester, Benchmark Single Barrel and Eagle Rare.

37 years and I'm done. 50 + people came and although my eyes got misty, I made it thru.

I will miss my brothers & sisters, but my time has come & gone.

To those that remain on the job, be vigilant & go home safe !
