Yeah a FJR just isn't happy if it isn't pulling hard, that top heaviness really makes itself felt. Great bike though, but yeah not the best in slow turns.

Small lightweight bikes/scooters are an absolute blast!  TW200 was the funnest "stupid" bike I ever rode.  Just don't have much use for a road vehicle that can't get on the highway comfortably, sadly.

THe one consolation is your body is thankful for the FJR when it's time to head home.

Always liked those and that color scheme with a lot of white but swore off carbs after my '99 Bandit 1200S.

Maybe this guy has the right solution.  Tow a fun bike with your long distance bike.  Get both...

The FJR ought to tow a supermoto no problemo.

That would work, or the newer literbike tourers like the ZX-1000SX seem light enough for fun in the twisties.

Some of the charm of bigger bikes is scraping the pegs, like I used to on my old Superglide Custom, a pig to be tossing around.

Shortly after I got the FJR I found out that if you have your toe under the shifter and lean a wee bit far to the left you'll trap your foot against the pavement.  Grind off the edge of your sole a bit.  It adds some spice to a spirited ride.

Happy wife….husband gets a stang.

And honestly, I’d drive that scooter. Just don’t want people I know seeing me on it.
