Not a corvette guy per se.
Work buddy bought it about 2 weeks ago.  Less than 500 miles on it.

700hp, in a very light weight car = Holy fuck.

I can't describe it any other way.

No way I'm dumping $150k on a car,  but I gotta tell you.  If you ever get a chance to drive one it'll make you think about it.

LOL. The seats look like the gaming chair I am sitting in. Maybe I could just by the simulated version and save some $$.

Aren't they RPM limited until the 500 mile break in?

Is the interior plastic fantastic or have they upscaled it to be more than an expensive rocketsled?

How does it handle while doing 10 under the speed limit in the passing lane?

They look good but $150k for a Corvette is wayyy to much money. The depreciation on that versus like a Porsche is akin to lighting money on fire.

Yes, not even close to the glorious redline that is available on that engine. OP go back and try it again in a month if you want your mind blown.

I've never flown a fighter jet, but the driver seat feels like a cockpit would to me.
I mean you are damn near flat legged sitting in it.  It's LOW.

Good question.  I don't know, but I know I had it pinned through 4 gears.

2 blocks (?), 115mph from a stop sign and I was like "yeah, I'm going to jail if I get one of these".
Car is ridiculously quick.  My FJR1300 wouldn't even stand a chance.  Not even close.

I had a C8, and if I get another one, that exactly how I’d spec it: black Z06 convertible.

No clutch paddles.

Edit- I wish it had a traditional stick but the paddles are alot of fun!

The interior is gorgeous.  It's leather, not plastic (at least in this model).
Stitching was quality, materials, fit and finish, but where the door trim meets the dash trim on the passenger side, it's not flush and is off by like 1/4".  It's not terrible, but you wouldn't get that in a Ferrari.  But a Ferrari would also cost 3 to 4x.

I can assure you speed limits were being broken for an hour plus in MN today.

Dealerships around here still want a minimum 20k above sticker.  Maybe 1 day when prices come down I'll look at 1.  Till them, I'll still rock my zl1.

I have no idea why someone would want a third pedal in a modern supercar/hypercar. It better be as close as possible to F1 specced if I'm paying that kind of money.

As a former FJR owner I appreciate the comparison! Personally, I think it’s pretty sweet. Love a mid engine car, AMX was always my favorite.

I’d buy one, except I don’t like going fast anymore. :-)

That's where you're wrong, kiddo. I had the pleasure of riding in a Viper. Would I pick it over a C8? No, but if I could have both, I would.

Didn't you know this outcome before buying it?  You're paying for the unrecoverable luxury and performance.

If I’m paying that money, it better be as enjoyable as possible, I couldn’t care less about the lap time. Hell, my M2C had all the power I’d ever want on the street. 6MT in my BGTS

That said, while the lack of a manual excluded the corvette from my list when I was shopping, there’s no doubt that it’s incredibly impressive engineering and far, far faster than my car.
