I've seen this a lot lately. Someone will ask an opinion on the quality or usefulness of a product, the efficacy of a training plan or diet or something, and there will be two main types of responses.
The first is a response that details some first hand experience and typically is positive in nature. The second is a one word to one line response saying "trash", "garbage", "unreliable", etc. Now of course there are always going to be the guys chiming in with one sentence bullshit that they regurgitated from the internet or "my friend said" and what not, but that isn't the interesting part. The interesting part to me is that almost all the first hand advice and opinions are positive in nature. Very, very few threads are weighted the other way where the first hand experience people are sharing consistent negative experiences with whatever the subject at hand is. |

But yes, I've noticed. I will add however, some things don't require a lot of explanation as to being bad. Wilson combat 1911 magazines are awesome because the work, are well made and don't scratch the shit out of your ammo. Pro-mag 1911 mags... suck. |

It's because it's GD OP, if you go to the tech threads it's always going to be a better signal-to-noise ratio.
GD is for shitposting, it's the blowoff valve for daily frustrations, but also the shop/jobsite/farm where guys can talk shit freely without HR or karens giving them misery about it. |
