Breaking News: World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler has been detained by police in handcuffs after a misunderstanding with traffic flow led to his attempt to drive past a police officer into Valhalla Golf Club. The police officer attempted to attach himself to Scheffler’s car, and Scheffler then stopped his vehicle at the entrance to Valhalla. The police officer then began to scream at Scheffler to get out of the car. When Scheffler exited the vehicle, the officer shoved Scheffler against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs. He is now being detained in the back of a police car.

I don't know what happened but I have experienced night time/dark when the cop cars have a gazillion
lights going at the same time. Very easy to get disoriented and blinded. You seriously can't see anything but 2000 lumens of LED lights flashing. |

There is a fair chance there is more to it than is being reported. He may have showed up without the proper event badge & parking card or he thought he was too important to show them.
My wife is neck keep in the final logistics for the Charles Schwab Challenge (formally The Colonial National Invitational) next weekend. Every traffic flow, parking, admission point as badges that can pass and those that cannot. Host host club members, golfers, volunteers, staff, officials, media, title sponsors....everyone has a specific event badge. |
