Gold hasn't increased in value since I started paying attention to it around 2005.

Does not sound like about the same to me. Wish I had bought more silver and gold in '18. I got 2 oz of gold for $1,200/oz and 100 oz of silver (mix of 10 oz bars and 1 oz rounds) for $15.50 average. May sell it off, I have been wanting to buy another motorcycle. |

Central banks are and have been on a gold buying spree. Inflation is heating back up and the fed is talking about rate cuts. US fiscal deficit is out of control. Expect gold to continue to climb.

Using the official inflation numbers that $15/ozt would be $18.50/ozt now. I think the federal fudging of the numbers and accounting for increased demand can explain why it's $24/ozt now. |

I'm hoping for a pull back so can add to the stack, I don't buy high.

Yup, gold might be one of the worst possible investments Many do not consider it an investment, including myself. Even if it were, the conclusion as to whether it's a good or bad one depends on the buy price. |

With respects to gold or silver, there's a quite bit of arbitrage between SGE or India's market and COMEX. Generally silver is $2 higher in those markets.
