I've had several GSDs and other dogs as well.
This particular dog sleeps in the weirdest positions.
Any clue as to why she does this?

From my gsd, border collie, lab mix, schnauzer and 3 mixed terriers all slept like that fairly often. Vet told me eons ago is that they feel safe with the pack and within their burrow

A lot of deep chested dogs sleep like this. It is comfortable and they are showing you that they feel safe with you

My GSD does that. She also likes to sleep sometimes with her hind legs elevated on the edge of her dog bed. Weird.

My male GSD does that. We had a female greyhound that did it most of the time she slept which was about 20 hours a day.
