A SpaceX Falcon 9 will launch Starlink satellites on a southeastern trajectory from Florida at 8:53 PM EDT on 12 May 2024.
Possible launch times (EDT): 8:53 PM, 9:03 PM, 12:03 AM, 12:11 AM (Last two are on 13 May 2024)
Cape sunset events and jellyfish alert. The 8:53 PM EDT launch time may produce jellyfish as the booster heads east towards darker skies. Later launch times would improve darkness along the Florida coast. This could be a great video from the drone ship if it has a camera facing towards the launch site. At some unknown launch time, the second stage will enter Earth shadow ending any chance of great jellyfish. Also unknown to me is whether the second stage engine produces enough light to generate jellyfish visibility.
Sunset: 8:04 PM EDT
Civil twilight: 8:29 PM EDT
Nautical Twilight: 9:00 PM EDT
Astronomical Twilight: 9:32 PM EDT
