Why the 2mb limit? Most phones take pics far larger than that. Could image magic or something be implemented on the server side to auto change resolution? It's a pain to go into camera, change settings just for EE, hoping that it will be small enough, then changing back because indont want to take pics of the family that look like they were made in ASCII art. Only for Team members be fine with me.

One of the upcoming updates for the new EE (which will be site wide) is the increase in both file size as well as saved images. This means images will be saved in a larger size with less compression. Additionally, we will raise the upload file size limit so folks can upload larger images. No ETA yet, but it should come in a future update this month. (It may fall to next month, but I doubt it. I imagine in the next couple of weeks!) |

the comment about phone image size is a good one, and it would be fantastic if you can utilize software tools that allow the uploader to resize and/or compress/decrease photo quality.
