Back when I was born, a lot of my family purchased Savings bonds E series to be exact, after a certain time do they stop earning interest? Is it better to cash them in and get a cd? Should I still hold onto a few?

Thanks..

To get the best savings bond answers check out Treasury Direct.  Off the top of my head all of the savings bonds quit paying interest after 30 years.

Keep or sell depends on what interest they are currently earning and what your goals are.
