China showcased its machine-gun-toting “robodog” drones during a 15-day military exercise in Cambodia.

I can already imagine this in near future. Armed robodogs chasing each other in urban ground combat. While aerial drones go after other drones in massive swarms. This is after all human combatants already eliminated by drones in round one. War is going to be hell more than ever.

50 caliber and that is why those in bed with China want to ban it under the guise of preventing cartels from getting them.

Fun fact, Cambodia owes the US over $500m, and we actually want the money. It actually causes some bad feelings.

Well, Boston Dynamics was bought by Hyundai back in 2020, so they’ve had plenty of time to get the specs..

I don't doubt for a second those Chicom bastards brutalized real dogs for reasons just barely related to their "design" process

Beloved, when they arm this killing machine with M4s and flamethrowers, and they send these into our neighborhoods, here's how we're going to defeat them. You're going to drop weaponized Vietnamese on it: climbing Vietnamese, work Vietnamese, extension Vietnamese.  If you live out in the country get some Hmong.  Hmong, 20 bucks and they'll cut through any fence and take any section of wire from anything and you can wad that up, recycle it, and pay the Vietnamese.  I don't care how clever it is there's nothing that's going to fight through a big old mess of Vietnamese.  Act accordingly.

They are unfortunately up to their eyeballs in debt due to all the Belt & Road loans they took out and shiny trinkets they bought from the CCP.

Chinese H1Bs are everywhere in the Military Industry. It’s quite amusing to see them go through security as contract workers at Vandenberg Air Force Base. Sending back all our top secrets because they are cheaper to hire and the shareholders expect a dividend at the end of the year.

Chinese robo-dog doesn't worry me.

It's the evil machine gun toting bi-ped robots that makes me worry about the near future technology.

When these first came our from Boston Dynamics for consumer purchase they were like $60,000+ with tax.

China has a company called Unitree that sells robots. They currently sell the most recent generation of robot dog for $1600

Introducing Unitree Go2 - Quadruped Robot of Embodied AI from $1600

They also sell the humanoid looking robots that Tesla plans on putting out for like $160k

Naming rights doesn’t mean you own it.

They did make an $8 billion investment in the school though.
Bet that gets you a lot more than Bobby Dodd.

Cornell had a working cyclotron under theirs so I am curious what gtech has.
