That would be the fault of complacency and corruption, not compromise.

It’s directly correlated to the ‘voting the lesser of evils’ logic.  People don’t think taking concessions at the voting booth be like it is, but they do.

Complacency and corruption, two things that force people to vote for the lesser of two evils.

We either stop being complacent or put an end to corruption.

We need to do both.  Sadly it appears that’s not in the cards.

Negativity and pessimism isn't going to get the job done.

A nyc democrat showman isn’t the answer to what ails this country.  No matter who wins in November between fjb & fdjt, we will lose.  That’s a fact

That's what you believe and By golly that's what will get people out to vote!

Because your gun rights will be much better off under Biden.

I get it, Trump isn't the Pro-2A candidate we want. I also don't think he's anti either. Really, I don't think he really gives a shit either way. The shit we saw in his first term was the work of the NRA, who he not being a gun guy himself, though was the voice of gun owners.

Will we see a push for more restrictions under Trump? Maybe but I doubt it. I think he's going to be too busy trying to get revenge on those who fucked him over to worry about guns.

Will we see a push for new laws under Biden? You bet your ass.

Trump isn't perfect, but he's what we got and is better than the alternative. This was the guy the majority of the right picked. Voting 3rd party does nothing but siphon votes and in the end, help Biden.

I'm not happy about him being the nominee either, but I also can see the bigger picture.

Yep you got me, Trump let 7 million illegals in during his 4 years and when Texas tried to stop it, Trump sent the feds down there to cut the razorwire that Texas put up. Then Trump orchestrated a phone app to allow Illegals direct flights to US cities of their choice on Taxpayer money.  Thank God Biden started to build a wall to stop Trumps reckless open border policy.  If only Trump would have not reversed Biden's attempt to secure the border and shut down the flow of illegals!

I'll vote for Trump but I'm not happy about it. He's the less shitty choice of the three (RFK Jr. included.)

Assuming Trump can overcome the mountain of obstacles that's in his way to become POTUS again I figure at least a 50% approval of his actions. Like 2016 my enthusiasm for him is low but he mostly delivered but made some huge mistakes as well, I figure Trump 2.0 will be similar.

Agreed, but the "If you don't vote for Trump, you're voting for Biden" argument is just stupid.  Because conversely, if you don't vote for Biden, doesn't that also mean you're voting for Trump?  It's a stupid, thoughtless argument that both sides make to whip their members into line.

There's several reasons. It's rigged to not allow any other serious candidates, the amount of money that is required to run, the need for media coverage to be able to reach voters, etc, etc.

Do I like it? Nope. But it is what it is, vote 3rd party and think you're some kind of revolutionary, hopefully that gives you some solace. Been hearing from third party voters that their vote will matter IF they get enough of the vote. That's a fallacy, and they've never came close to being an actual contender, closest being Perot in '92, and he took 1 state. Wow. There's other candidates but ultimately it's Trump vs. Biden. I may not agree with Trump on everything he does, but I can't afford another 4 years of Biden.

Not voting isn't a vote for anyone. Obviously. It's called having principles. It's childish to say not voting is a vote for opposite of whoever you like.

Not voting is simply refusing to legitimize either of these geriatric liars, or being complicit in what they've done or will do.

Both attack freedoms and due process
Both direct the debasement of the currency at extreme rates
Both fail on almost every single campaign promise

I'd have to be some sort of pathetic cuck to ignore the above and pull the "least bad" lever. Fuck that.

I'm not going to make that argument. Not voting simply gives your voting power to your neighbor who votes. If neighbor is voting red and you cast your vote for red, that makes your state super red(fighting mad red). If you don't vote, that simply makes your state plain red(milquetoast weak red).

Which mirrors what Biden loyalists tell people straying from the Dem plantation to scare them into voting for Biden.  If you stay home, you're not voting for either one.  You're saying both candidates suck, and neither are worth your time.

Not participating allows the choice to be made for you. That is complacency.
Agreed, but the "If you don't vote for Trump, you're voting for Biden" argument is just stupid.  Because conversely, if you don't vote for Biden, doesn't that also mean you're voting for Trump?  It's a stupid, thoughtless argument that both sides make to whip their members into line.

I'm not going to make that argument. Not voting simply gives your voting power to your neighbor who votes. If neighbor is voting red and you cast your vote for red, that makes your state super red(fighting mad red). If you don't vote, that simply makes your state plain red(milquetoast weak red).

I may have missed it but I haven’t seen anyone in here state that they aren’t voting.  I’ve seen posters say they aren’t voting for fdjt or fjb.. but that doesn’t mean they aren’t voting for other races/state/local/congress or writing in for potus etc.

Yeah, if you vote for red down ballot and don't vote red for prez then you're just asking for unnecessary conflict and handing a narrative to democrats. And again, you're simply passing your voting power to your neighbor who is voting blue or red.
