Alabama Democrat Marilyn Lands, running on IVF ruling, flips Republican House seat
Democrat Marilyn Lands defeated Republican Teddy Powell in a special election Tuesday night for a state House seat in north Alabama that drew national attention. Lands, a licensed professional counselor, flipped the seat from red to blue by besting Powell, a Madison city councilman, 62 percent to 38 percent with 100percent of the precincts in District 10 reporting, according to unofficial results posted on the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office website. |

Conservatives are the first to scream, "You're killing babies!", and the last to do anything in support of children. Here in a conservative Kentucky county I see people bitching online about free lunches at school, schools serving lunch on the weekends for kids that don't have food at home. Conservatives are generally the ones against gov't help for single mothers, etc. I know I'm generalizing, but I have no doubt you know what I'm talking about. |

Republicans caught the bus and now don't know why they spent so much time chasing it. |

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.

Show me a Trump speech that's anywhere as close to the famous Pedo Hitler's blood red speech in front of Independence Hall, where he's wagging his fists around and telling the country that half the voting base are basically people that needed to be loaded onto boxcars. I'll wait. PS: A huge number of Biden's voting base wants to slit you, and your family's throats. Gargling his balls won't do anything to dissuade them. |

Yeah, Im sure this has national implications. |

We wouldn't have women in Congress like Pelosi, and we wouldn't have pedos teaching our kids or having drag story-time. I'm not advocating for Sharia Law, but can see some merits. |

It does because the Democrat campaigned on repealing the no exceptions 100% abortion ban and something with IVF treatments. Republicans lost another seat because of those issues. To put it differently the new laws motivated the Democrats to get to the polls while the Republicans sat at home celebrating since they had already won. That has national implications, Democrats are motivated to vote and fire people because of what they feel they have been losing. If Republicans don't get motivated then 2024 will have the Dems controlling the White House, House, and Senate...and we end up with a new AW Ban. |

Get Active or Get Disarmed! That means get involved in helping good candidates in primary and general election. That is in addition to being politically active once they are elected.

They also thought that it was 9-12-2001. Almost like the past 2 decades never happened. I just shook my head and said the republican party as it stands now is dead, they just don't know it yet. Times change, parties need to as well |

If Republicans want to 100% guarantee that Biden wins reelection, they'll keep talking about banning/regulating IVF. The Kentucky Republicans just passed a law saying child support starts at the moment of conception. You heard that right, baby daddies need to start paying the woman they knocked up the moment her test comes back positive because "it is a child". We have a near total ban as well. The Dems also claim the Republican's want to view everyone's medical records and go after anyone that might leave the state to get an abortion. People want the government to leave them alone. The left and right have different issues they focus on when it comes to government regulation but in general most people want the government to stay out of it. Fear of losing rights/privileges/options is a huge motivator. Republicans seem to be doubling down on restrictions and it may cost us everything in November. |

How would you react if a bunch of Islamists took over the government and attempted to make laws based on sharia law? This right there! The moment somebody starts talking about god in the laws or government then I'm done. Those are two very different subjects. I don't want laws made because a book or church thinks it should be a certain way We are told over and over again that we have freedom of religion in this country blah blah blah. Okay great I agree with that and think it is a basic right that needs to be defended. My problem is that some of those same people lose their minds if it isn't a christian based religion. What they meant to say is that right only applies to christians. The rest of worlds religions are all incorrect. Except jewish, they are correct some of the time |

Now let's see what happens to the Republican ticket when pro-life voters feel abandoned. You'll lose a core group of the base for a few independents who probably were never going to vote R anyway. |
