Administration and site staff are pleased to announce the AR15.com secure officer's forum is now up and running. This is a place for our sworn officers to network, share information with their peers, talk shop and connect with fellow site professionals. It will also provide an avenue for putting other site members in touch with site verified officers in our Brothers of the Shield forum.
Below you will find the requirements to access this area of the site and instructions on submitting credentials.
Eligible for verification: 1. Sworn local/state/federal law enforcement officers with statutory arrest powers.
2. Sworn local/state/federal correctional officers.
3. Sworn part time/reserve officers with statutory arrest powers.
4. Agents of the United States Military (CID, NCIS, AFOSI, USMCCID, CGIS.)
5. Honorably retired officers meeting any of the above requirements.
*We are only able to accept officer submissions from the US and Canada at this time.
Examples of status not eligible for inclusion: TSA or other non sworn employees of the Department of Homeland Security, private or corporate security officers, bail agents, contract corrections companies, dispatchers, civilian employees of a police or corrections agency, "honorary" deputies or officers, search and rescue personnel unless sworn, posse members, honor guards, "special police," non-sworn investigators, security officers employed by a police agency, police volunteers, military police, explorers, cadets, academy graduates not yet employed and terminated/administratively released officers. You may apply for verification by completing the following: You must email the following information to:
[email protected]1. An unedited clear picture of your badge and ID card side by side sent from your department email. Your ID must clearly state your status as a sworn officer. Black and white scans or photocopies will not be accepted. Certificates will not be accepted.
2. Your name and title, department name, badge number and contact number for your agency. Your agency will NOT be contacted unless agreed to by member and staff and only if absolutely necessary to confirm job status.
3. Your screen name.

AR15.com staff reserves the right to deny any applications. Approval time can vary depending on staff and site availability so please be patient. All information submitted to the site will be considered confidential and handled by the sworn members of the staff (Striker, NorCal_LEO and Bama-Shooter.) No information will be retained by the site in any form. Individuals who may fall outside the above guidelines will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis with final decision to be made by sworn staff.
By submitting the information you are affirming your status as required by the above requirements. Claiming to be a LEO when you are not employed as a sworn LEO who meets the verification requirements will result in your account being banned, and future access to this site being cancelled. If your job status changes your eligibility for the forum, you must notify staff.
Upon successful verification, your account will be updated and a badge icon will be visible under your screen name. The option to disable the icon by the individual user will be available in the future but is currently not available.
