Some say he was responsible for music in Heaven before the fall, or some such thing. If so, I'm thinking the tunes were pretty bitchin' up there at one point.

Abysmal Dawn is AWESOME!!!
In Service of Time Someone please school me on getting the video to show up and not just a link....please for the love of god. |

Because Lucifer was God's choir leader before he was cast out.
|
|
Wasn't he the Angel of Music before he was cast out of Heaven?
|
|
I have come to the conclusion that I don't like Christian music very much because every single song is about the exact same topic.
|
|
I was listening to this, and said, "wth? where are the 1000's...." they come in around 2:15 interesting. still listening to it as I type this. quite the experince..... watching some Japanese sing in German eta: not everyone's 'cup of tea', but it's a pretty impressive undertaking, to say the least. |

Oh bliss! Bliss and heaven! Oh, it was gorgeousness and gorgeousity made flesh. It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now. As I slooshied, I knew such lovely pictures! |

They had a couple of good songs, but they were a joke. |

I'll be honest...I was not expecting that voice out of the first singer it was impressive. I like classical music, It just doesn't hold me for very long. |

As a Christian, I have to say that most Christian music (that's not church music) sucks. My main problem is that it profanes God. Why do you feel the need to add God to heavy metal music?
|
|
I never understood the whole tie-in between rock music and satan.
It just seems like this massively cornball marketing scam for teenagers who are in faux-tough-guy passive-agressive rebellion mode. I would go so far as to say this cornball bullshit pretty much ruined heavy metal music. |

As a Christian, I don't want to hear songs about pointlessly ugly and morbid topics. Why would I want to listen to music about satan and hell? Just the same crap over and over again for the last 30 years. Just like all the rap music is about being a gangsta. Don't people ever get bored with brain dead morbidity? Maybe someday there will be music genre devoted to vomit. Then everyone can buy that and piss their Dad off. |

That's one of the things I liked about it. I took an advanced Koine Greek class with some Koreans. It was always amazing to read their papers in English about Greek. |

I have a bunch on my amazon wish list. Good lyrics good music |

I get the lyrics I suppose (praise and worship, and all that), but my God the music is generic. How are you not bored to tears? |

And to all you who are talking about the vocal content......most who listen to heavy/death metal really don't care what they aresinging/growling about. It's about the music man. I think Cannible Corpse has some of the stupidest lyrics but the music is just awesome. Plus it's about the vibe of the music itself. Metal is dark and heavy, they can't sing about rainbows and unicorns, it just doesn't fit...IMO. |

If you look at Satanism itself, as in the religion, it's just secular humanism with The Devil thrown in for shock value. Rock and Roll is the music of rebellion against the establishment, and The Devil got mixed in somewhere along the line (early 70s) because they wanted to rebel against The Church as well as The Government. That said, some of the best bands out there use the gimmick and make really good music. |

I like good old fashion Southern Rock, Country, Rock, Classic Rock, Techno, etc..... I realize that It doesn't exactly praise God, but it sure doesn't glorify the devil either. It's mostly just music about life. |

Black Sabbath is Devil Music?
Have you ever thought about your soul - can it be saved? Or perhaps you think that when you're dead you just stay in your grave Is God just a thought within your head or is he a part of you? Is Christ just a name that you read in a book when you were in school? When you think about death do you lose your breath or do you keep your cool? Would you like to see the Pope on the end of a rope do you think he's a fool? Well I have seen the truth, yes I've seen the light and I've changed my ways And I'll be prepared when you're lonely and scared at the end of our days Could it be you're afraid of what your friends might say IF THEY KNEW you believed in God above? They should realize before they criticize that God is the only way to love Is your mind so small that you have to fall In with the pack wherever they run Will you still sneer when death is near And say they may as well worship the sun? I think it was true it was people like you that crucified Christ I think it is sad the opinion you had was the only one voiced Will you be so sure when your day is near, say you don't believe? You had the chance but you turned it down, now you can't retrieve Perhaps you'll think before you say that God is dead and gone Open your eyes, just realize that he's the one The only one who can save you now from all this sin and hate Or will you jeer at all you hear? Yes! I think it's too late. |
