I used to watch a local mosquito sprayer fly one of those damn things: Sometimes I have to wonder if the maneuvers were legal or even possible.

I thought it was one of the easiest to land planes I've ever flown.  Just be sure to hold the yoke back in your gut during landing roll out, or the nose will fall rapidly, and hit the runway with a mighty bang.

I'm told that learning to "look through the HUD" when landing takes some getting used to, for those of us have who have never flown a HUD.  But I also hear it's a great excuse for a bad landing, "but I followed the flare cue"..

You're coming off the 80 right?  You're going to need a real headset. Or earplugs. Or both.

I've been on the baby bus for the last nine months.  I did just pick up a David Clark ProX a few months ago, that seems to be real popular on the 73, works great on the bus, if only the old farts would use the intercom.  It kills me to see a guy with a nice lightweight ANR headset, in an airplane with a good hot mic intercom, with one cup pulled off his ear, shouting at me.

I have to remember to grab a handful of stir sticks next time I'm at starbucks, or a bag of rubber bands at the dollar store.

I wouldn't know.  I was a peon FO, not worthy of a HUD.

What kind of falcon is in your broken link?  A friend of mine sells 7Xs.  Nice rides!

I'm not sure what happened with the link. It used to work. Oh well.

This one is a 900B. I've mostly been in various models of 900s. Some 2000s and 50s thrown in for good measure. They are all fantastic aircraft.

The 7X is great too. I have a few hours in that model as well. Also fantastic but the FBW is a different animal but you already know that (B777).

Sadly, my time in Falcons is coming to an end after 17 years. We are replacing this 900B with a Gulfstream. Either a GV or a G550. They don't fly quite as nice as a Falcon but they are reasonably close.

I flew the -50.  Finest aircraft I ever got the pleasure to fly.  They system layout, the Arthur Q units, what an amazing aircraft.   Damn I miss them.  The guy I flew falcons with is on the Gulfstream now....he says there is no comparison from a pilot standpoint.

Yep, the Gulfstream may be a let down in that regard. Hard to imagine a nicer flying biz jet than a Falcon. I flew a Global for a while. It wasn't close. I have played with the G550 in the sim. It seems to fly pretty nice though. I don't know much about Gulfstreams yet but I hear the GV/G550 handles better than the GIV/G450. Doesn't really matter though. We fly what they pay us to fly right.

Not sure what's up with the dead link. It's been awhile since I've posted a picture.
I see most of you have a line in your header labeled "Member". Maybe you have to be a paying member and not a free loader (like me) to post pictures nowadays. I will look into it.
