Leaving the question of which location was the shooters vehicle located at? There was a group of guys robbing banks in Spokane WA in the 90s that used explosives before the robbery as a diversion(PP clinic and the local newspaper IIRC) and afterwards to tie up police resources. IIRC they left 2 propane cylinder based explosives at the bank and in the abandoned get away vehicle (stolen minvan) , both of which failed to ignite. |

The dispatcher then mentions possible victims in the parking lot of 3470, King Sooper, and PP. When the first LEOs arrive, they get engaged from the SW corner of the PP building. It sounds like the guy was moving around on the outside of the building. The first LEOs get pinned down near the Chase bank. Around 13:20, and officer reports someone down in 3470. It sounds like he (the LEO) is inside the building with the victims. At 17:30, a LEO says he has a lady shot at 3470. At least two, probably 3 LEOs get shot in that recording. The listening gets really hard after 28:00. 
Even from this recording, it's not entirely clear where he started. It could be PP, or it could be the woman in 3470. When the LEOs arrive, he's outside the building. He could have been on his way out, or I guess he could have been waiting for responders. At that point in the engagement, the perpetrator was accurate enough with his rifle to suppress LEOs and land hits at ~250m (assuming he was shooting from a standing position with an AK and under fire, that ain't bad). It sounds like the perp went into PP seeking cover after the LEOs arrive. The biggest questions I have now are what were his motivations, where did this start, and if he was good enough to land hits at ~250m, why wasn't the body count higher if he was out to kill? |

That's what I read as well. I am skeptical that this was in the PP building. The member here said he was PP security at another location and his director confirmed via email that this was at a building nearby. I doubt any news outlet will report anything but PP. Shock value goes down and story narative won't fit when old white guy shoots up parking lot. Yeah, it's a giant fucking conspiracy. Congratulations on figuring it out. It sounds like the perp went into PP seeking cover after the LEOs arrive. The biggest questions I have now are what were his motivations, where did this start, and if he was good enough to land hits at ~250m, why wasn't the body count higher if he was out to kill? These are some of my question also. Did it start at Chase Bank or was that something else? When they say a lady got shot near the other building (3470) does that mean the shooter was over there too or did he just engage her a longer range from behind the PP building? The shooter seems to have had every one out gunned at first. Then he retreated into PP building. |
