I don't get how that's funny. It's pretty obvious that the guy is likely reading a book to his kid over the webcam. How is that funny? Not funny. Sad, that he cant be with his kid in person... |

Not sad. Given adversity the guy overcomes and makes time for his kid; there are lots of guys who say fuck it and don't do shit like that. Also as you can see he is stateside and nobody is shooting, mortaring, etc so he is having a good day. I read to my kid like that while deployed. Sent home a DVD of me reading books every week for about 4 months until the unit moved to a different FOB without the video camera system. |

He is in a coffee shop. And? he is no different than any other person who happens to be away from his kid. and, from the looks of it, in a civilian coffee shop, off duty. So what is so tragic about some guy sippin' lattees in the wrong uniform? |

Christina Aguilera doesn't look completely human anymore. Cheek implants, chin implant...breast implants probably. |

Oh, I get to add one. This old guy had a standing invite and a reward if someone could kick his ass. Turned out kind of sad, actually. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEDaCIDvj6I That sucks. How does someone actually convince themselves they can fight by having lackeys around all the time? |

How does someone actually convince themselves they can fight by having lackeys around all the time? [/quote There is a theory that, his students are not faking. They believe in his power so much that their mind tricks them into being thrown around. May or may not be BS. I have seen it with Dim Mak demonstrations. (Death touch). People who believe are knocked unconscious, in reality, by just some firm slaps and pokes. People who don't believe feel anything from nothing to moderate confusion and dizzyness. Pressure points are real and have varying degrees of effectiveness. But, I don't believe it's possible to knock people out with slaps and pokes, with any degree of consistancy. I sure as hell don't believe you're going to throw someone around without touching them. Sad but funny for the old guy. Don't be a BS artist and you won't get a bloody nose. ETA: Sorry. Something screwed up the quote thingy, here. |

That video is almost too old to referring to the meme...or is it the first recorded use? |

EDIT - referencing the Martial Art throwdown
Yeah I am torn on this one. On one hand, his techniques could put his students in a dangerous position -IF they believed for a moment this guy could teach you to send an opponent flying or kill him with a touch. On the other, taking up the challenge from an old man is hardly in the spirit of a "humble" martial artist. He did have a standing challenge...<Insert Pic "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED"> |
