You guys don't give a rats ass about honest debate...all you guys want is everyone to follow your lead because somehow your magical opinion is more important then ours...that is the difference..

Wait, what?

Sure I want honest debate.

Nobody can lower Trump any lower than himself.

And frankly, I like Cruz... But I will take almost any Republican right now who does not support socialism and socialized medicine... That eliminates Trump.

I would take almost any Republican right now who did not support De Blasio for Mayor two years ago... That eliminates Trump.

OK..here is your whole "debate" in  it's barest form..You don't want a debate for any reason other then to make others follow your opinion...period..nothing else is up to debate because you have 100% made up your mind that no matter what Trump cannot be the nominee..so it's no longer a debate..its you trying to force your will and your opinion on everyone else..and until that happens..you won't stop with the attacks, for thats all they are when you look at the stark truth...
Now just so you know, I started out a Cruz fan, but the more and more I looked, the more and more I became a Trump fan..unlike you, if Cruz gets the nomination I will vote for him, my OPINION....is that Cruz can't win the nomination, and even if he does, he will not win the general...Trump will win them both, and he will do a fine job as President.....

Well... I guess that just shows how little you know me.

I thoroughly enjoy positive back-and-forths. I thoroughly, absolutely enjoy discussing differences.

I absolutely enjoyed folks who said, "Trump has class..."

Then watched them change to "Class is over-rated..." When it came-out that Trump really has no class.

It is enjoyable, I like it, it is what makes GD fun... Yes, I have had my opinion change in GD from positive back and forths... And I will vote Trump if he wins the nomination.

I am not going to lie about it... He wants to centralize power in the White House. That sounds all fine and good to trailer park Republicans who want government cheese. But it sounds bad to *real* conservatives who want rights restored to states and individuals...

I can't enforce my will on anyone.

I think it is interesting to see the debate change. It was interesting to see the discussion change from, "Trump has more class than anyone..." to, "Trump has no class, but that is ok, because class is over-rated anyway."

That was enjoyable and fun.

Trump would do a horrible job as President.

Absolutely horrible.

He has outlined plans for socialism and socialized medicine. I absolutely disagree with his platform there.

I think he has told a great deal of lies to conservatives, especially in relation to immigration reform. He has no real desire to deport 500,000+ immigrants a month. He would have extreme trouble, and we would all lose individual rights and freedoms and pay higher taxes if he attempted to deport even a tiny fraction of that number...

It isn't just the lies he tells that bother me. We would lose freedoms, and face higher taxes if he keeps much of any of his campaign promises...

But... You are entitled to your opinion...

And... You are going to have to scrutinize your position in support of  liberal New York Trump and his record... I can't *make* you do a dang thing...

Frankly... My bar right now is who did or did not support liberal De Blasio. Trump fails.

I will vote for Trump if he wins the nomination. I just don't see him beating *any* Democrat... Conservatives want to *hear* what Trump is *saying* (not doing).

It will be harder for Trump in the general when he has to "shake the etch-a-sketch." It is going to be harder for Trump, than it was for Romney  as Trump has already been caught shifting his stance, and producing "papers" he didn't write...

Holy crap.

(Your words) "harassment."

Unbelievable.

No one should be worried about my opinion... Or the facts that Trump didn't write "his" position papers.

No one should be worried about Trumps lack of class or that he had his wife pose naked for men and money... Just look at the merits of the debate, and argue back... Pretty simple.

No one should feel "harassed."

No one felt "harassed" last go-around when folks scrutinized Romney like folks are scrutinizing Trump... No one...

We are all arfcommers. We are all friends. But Trumps liberal record, and Trumps support for socialism... It needs to be looked-at closely through a conservative lens...

That is not to offend anyone... But positive back and forths are good. I thought they were good when folks debated Romney last go-around.

I have spent the last 3 years sitting on this computer most of 20 hours a day due to a car wreck, have done tons of research on both Cruz and Trump as well as past elections...Trump is acceptable for me....he will do exactly what he has said he will in this election, he will also win both the nomination and the general..(MY OPINION based on info I have looked thru)...Cruz ..well I will vote for him if he wins the nomination, but thats the only reason..At some point in time he is going to be forced to pay back the money in those pacs..as well as the banks..he also isn't going to do much for the illegal immigration issues, nor is he going to fight all the corruption in the fed........again those are my OPINIONS based off my research.........but hey, go vote for your guy, I will vote for mine and eventually we will know who is right....

Cruz is very pro 2'nd and I'd gladly vote for him in the general if he gets the nomination. I'm worried he can't win though, and I follow politics. Like I've said He'd be perfect as a SCOTUS judge.
I just don't see Trump pushing for or signing an AWB. If I'm wrong I'd be the first to admit it. I think he can get some shit done to fix the economy, I know that libs hate him, If they didn't I be more worried. People can change and I think he knows where is support is coming from.

So the polls in NH VERY closely matched the results and South Carolina has an even larger % for Trump -- RealClearPolitics currently shows 36% -- and its a winner take all state? Trump will be off to a good start.  He barely lost Iowa so he still got plenty of delegates and will be happily in front.

Trump will likely win Cali, but Cruz should win Texas.

I hope Rubio and Jeb literally drown from crying too much while holding each other.

I see the Trump in office being the same Trump who supported De Blasio two years ago.

I see a guy who will put his own interests and ego in front of anything else.

Like I said, If he makes the nom, I will vote for him.

But right now, as far as the "etch a sketch" thing is concerned... Trump shift his position and he could say, "I didn't write those position papers..." and he could be telling the truth.

Trump could go a hundred different directions, none of them favorable to conservatives, and be,  "keeping campaign promises."

He could say, "I meant to go a teeny bit harder on immigration than Obama when I talked about the wall." He has already softened his tone on immigration.

He does not talk about sending them *all* back anymore, for instance... He has already started to shake the etch-a-sketch... And he needed to. He got the retards to get behind his bombastic and impossible statements. Now he just needs to make sure he never has to explain to anyone how to get 500,000+ immigrants out of the US a month... He has had advisors tell him, "You have the conservatives who wanted to hear something on immigration behind you 100%, just never mention *that* again..." He knows he is not going to get anything *real* done on immigration. He will consolidate more power in the White House. He will eliminate more state rights. All offensive as a concept to conservatives. But accomplish nothing *real.*

The danger with Trump is that he was a registered Democrat not too long ago. He supported De Blasio not too long ago...

This is South Carolina.   It's two weeks old, the primary there is Feb20.  By then, Cruz will be off five or more points from this and Trump will be up a few.

Wait...

De Blasio put his cards on the table when Trump supported him, everyone knew he was a sanctuary-city Mayor. Everyone knew he was anti-gun. De Blasio ran on a racist platform.

That was when Trump supported him.

De Blasio didn't become anti-gun *after* he was elected. That is what he ran on. That was what Trump supported.

Of course Trump is going to switch gears *now* to fit his *current* agenda... That does not bother you?

I have personally seen folks change their stance.

I remember when the stance was, "Trump has class. Obama has no class. The Clintons have no class."

I saw a noticeable switch to, "Class is over-rated. Trump has no class, and I want a candidate with no class. We need a fighter, not someone with class."

Saw the shift with my own eyes.

DONALD TRUMP: Well I did say that, I wished he was a good mayor, he's turned out to be a terrible mayor.

Video of it............

Here is a news flash for you..New York is an anti gun state..and has been for many years..So because Trump says hey hope this new guy does good for us, and the guy doesn't it's all Trumps fault? So if Cruz gets elected, and doesn't on the first day in office eliminate every single gun control law in the land..you and everyone else on this forum are responsible right? you all are going to open your wallets and pay all of us that wanted someone else all your worldly goods to make up for the fact the guy you picked didn't do what you thought he would right?

It's just as stupid as "he supports a AWB ban" ..He said that shit years ago during the AWB... duh what did most everybody say at the time?
Most everyone figured that ban was going to be with us forever..we got lucky it went away...jesus, such a twisted fact to fit a stupid OPINION..........

After 8 years of Trump...

1. A complete reversal of the Obama effect, in which Leftists have gone full retard and been emboldened into shamelessly promoting all their dumbest ideas.   People have actually lost their jobs for their political beliefs, or because they donated money to stop gay marriage.

Imagine instead an America where people lose their livelihood for being proponents of illegal immigration, or for associating with Muslims.   Where (((big corporations))) are shut down and sold off because they hired illegal scab labor from Mexico.

2. Homeland Security and Border Patrol ruthlessly and unapologetically using their power to detain and deport illegals, on direct orders from the White House.  Local police all over America empowered to arrest illegals and hand them over to the Feds.  Imagine citizenship checks at schools, hospitals, , the DMV, etc.

3. A national media that engages in open warfare with the President.   You think Bush Derangement Syndrome was bad?   Wait until the President starts Tweeting his weekly tally of Muslims & Mexicans deported.   Wait until he retweets AIPAC with a simple "LOL" comment.   Except this time we'll have a President who fights back in public and calls the New York Times "a bunch of pussies" during a news conference.  It will be the most entertaining thing you've seen in decades.

4. A giant sucking sound of manufacturing jobs moving back to America, after NAFTA is nullified and heavy tariffs are placed on Chinese imports.   Sears and WalMart start selling quality products made in America, rather than cheap s**t from China that breaks the 2nd time you use it and is so inexpensive that they tell you to just buy another one.

5. Concealed carry legalized in all 50 states, using the reciprocity principle that was used to impose gay marriage on the country.   Executive Orders nullifying all anti-gun and anti-ammunition laws.   If some Marxist in Chicago wants to ban guns, he'll have to go to court and fight against District of Columbia v. Heller.

6. A reversal of all the social engineering imposed on our military over the last 20 years.   A Commander-in-Chief who uses the military to actually promote America's interests, rather than the interests of (((our Allies))).   Instead of teaching democracy to medieval primitives, the Marines simply seize the oil fields, ship it straight to Texas, and say "f**k you, what are you going to do about it?"

7. Under Trump's leadership, NATO declares the refugee crisis to be "an attack by external forces" under Article 5 of the Treaty.   In a brilliant Machiavellian move, Turkey is tasked with spearheading the defense, and when they are exposed as being duplicitous, they are unceremoniously removed from NATO and replaced with Putin's Russia, while the pussies at the (((New York Times))) wail in agony.   Sometime in the early 2020s, Putin gives a speech before Congress in which he receives no less than 30 standing ovations.

That'll never happen no matter who's elected so I'm voting Cruuuuuuuuz!!!

And I've seen the other way around also, but not enough it make any difference either way. I was a Cruz first, Trump second person, but the hard liner Cruz fans turned me off with the constant insults and belittling of the Trump supporters.

I wouldn't be too quick to place Texas in Cruz's column just yet . . .

. . . His election as Texas' junior Senator in 2012 wasn't exactly a cake-walk for him and plenty of Texan's are less than impressed with his performance in the Senate to date.

It was a SLAUGHTER.

He's predicted to win Nevada and South Carolina next.

What has me puzzled is how the fuck does Hillary have 392 delegate votes already!!??

Has she bribed that many super delegates already?

The Democratic party actually has 712 "unpledged delegates" (AKA "Superdelegates") who come from five different categories of "prominent"   Democratic Party members. To date, 355 of these superdelegates have pledged their vote to Hillary, 14 have pledged to Sanders, and the remaining 341 are currently "uncommitted".

A quick study of this listing of the names of all the Democratic Party SuperDelegates for 2016  might help you to understand where Hillery's support comes from.

The list of superdelegates already committed to Hillary features . . .
....8 Distinguished party leaders (which includes a guy named Bill Clinton!)
..13 Sitting State Governors
..39 Sitting U.S. Senators
157 Sitting U.S. Representatives
138 members of the Democratic National Committee

It's all in who you know ! ! !

NH, in terms of picking a president, is anything but an anomaly.

Well, in practical terms, at least part of that has to do with the media playing "kingmaker". Factor in that NH is generally left leaning, and the picture becomes a little more clear.

It's not the whole answer, but the fact that Iowa tends towards Rep, and NH tends towards Dem isn't random. Especially considering those are the first states to run their caucuses. I say tends to because you never can know for certain how folk will vote.

Agreed.  If SC and other southern states do go to Trump, we will know that after 8 years of Obama, the country has taken a decidedly large shift to the left.

LOL, the republicans have superdelegates, too:

Trump expressed concern about a contested convention in December. "I think I'd have a certain disadvantage," he said. "The dealmaking, that's my advantage. My disadvantage is that I'd be going up against guys who grew up with each other, who know each other intimately, and I don't know who they are … These kind of guys stay close. They all know each other. They want each other to win."

Republican insiders have raised the possibility.

"GOP rules allow for ... 'superdelegates,' with more than half of state parties exercising the option to make their chairman, national committeewoman and national committeeman automatic delegates," Republican strategist and Bush official Karl Rove wrote last year. "These uncommitted delegates, 210 in all, could be the most fluid force in the convention if no candidate has locked in victory."

He is referring to members of the Republican National Committee, the party's governing body. Each state comes with one committeeman and one committeewoman, in addition to all state party chairs. Party rules also allocate three to Guam, Puerto Rico and the Northern Mariana Islands.

Two months after Rove's column, Trump continues to lead national polls, as well those in most early nominating states. Where he is not the leading candidate, maverick Texas Sen. Ted Cruz holds the title. Party leaders and observers dismissed the idea that RNC-aligned delegates could sway the convention away from them and toward an establishment candidate.

"With due respect to Karl," RNC communications director Sean Spicer told the Examiner, "there are 168 members of the RNC, not 210." Those members comprise 7 percent of the estimated 2,472 delegates who will be seated at the convention, slightly less than the 9 percent Rove estimated.

The Cruz campaign didn't make that, smart guy.
Meanwhile you have your retarded candidate calling others pussies and cheaters because he lost Iowa.

The Cruz Campaign sold those posters, which were created by an independent artist and personally approved by Cruz; on the official Ted Cruz Campaign Website Store for forty or fifty bucks apiece.

What the fuck is wrong with you?

No.

Just pointing out that Hughjafj got caught spreading disinformation again;  and you're trying to paper over it for him by deflecting away from his lie.

Looks like the price of that classy Cruz poster is up to fifty five bucks at his official campaign store.

South Carolina has three distinct regions, and each one matches the demographics of the rest of the country nearly exactly. You can take the results of SC , and when looking at how voters voted within those regions, extrapolate how the rest of the states will vote almost exactly. Again, I'm not talking taking the results of the whole state of SC, but of each of the three clearly defined regions.

As it sits, Trump is ahead in all of them.
