I am sure that the people who set up his safety harness and anchor were highly paid experts.

I have a lot more respect for people who do dangerous stuff in real life without a highly paid crew tending to every need, for a lot less money and fame than Cruise gets.

As actors go, I have nothing against him, but he is just an actor.

He's a fucking weirdo. He has been in good movies but to say he's a great actor is stretching things. Other than Tropic Thunder and Home Alone whatever that movie was called, everything he does just screams, ACTING! Like Master Thespian.

He's just not a good actor. And he's not able to pull off the Eastwood plays Eastwood thing.

He apparently is also a non - existent "father" to his "children".

And the whole scientology shit. What an ass clown.

So he's not a good actor because he is not typecast into playing the same character in every movie?

He's a looney toon but saying he's not a good actor is just indefensible.

I do have to say, in general he (and the movies he is in) tend to be pretty good. Or at least the ones I watch. Recent Mission Impossible was pretty good IMO. Even a lot of other older actors like Bruce Willis seem to have faded and the movies they are in aren't so good anymore.

That's my biggest reason for saying he's not a good actor. Everything he does is Tom Cruise ACTING. No nuances, no becoming the characters. Just look at me act.

Hell, if he would work on the Eastwood or Schwarzenegger thing he would be more enjoyable to watch.

I was wondering about that the hardest thing hanging on the outside of the plane is the wind in your eyes.  I always wear full face helmet on jumps.

While yes the stunt looks impressive the most dangerous part was the take off your so low to the ground I’m sure he had a chute under the suit.

The blast door actually helps out quite a bit you don’t get the turbulence  jumping out the C 141 going faster with a blast door than a C 130 going slower without one.

Tom Cruise has his B license to skydive.

When it was pointed out to me that one of his front teeth line up with his nose that's all I see when I look straight at him. That being said, I do like most of his movies. Assuming I was single, I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers.
