My neighbor is a LEO, and he told me a story of a guy going into a Kangroo mart and buying cases of Monster twice a week. The owner pulled up the guys EBT balance and it was over $6,000. |

I had to look up where Rockstar is based to see what congressman they bought off to get that shit EBT approved. To my surprise, Rockstar was founded by the son of Michael Savage, Russell Weiner.
Here's another little gem I had no idea about: In July 2009, Change.org announced they had negotiated an agreement with Rockstar resulting in the release of a statement that affirmed the company's continuing support for LGBT rights. In addition, Rockstar agreed to donate $100,000 to LGBT rights organizations.[24] The Bilerico Project, an LGBTQ group, took credit for facilitating the agreement. Been this way for a while. Couple years ago a buddy and I were at a gas station to get some monsters. Methy chick comes up to us and offers to use her ebt to get our monsters if we buy her some smokes. I told her to move along. My buddy however pulled 3 more monsters out and asked what she smoked. $12 worth of monsters for a $4 pack of cigs.

It made me think, "Monster sure knows their demographic."
If for some derpy reason the law was changed to allow food stamp benefits to be used to buy cigarettes or dip, I would expect tobacco companies to advertise the hell out of that fact as well. Tattoo parlors? Same. As for why food stamp benefits can buy pure crap like that? It's one outrage in a sea of so many outrages I'm a bit numb to it, frankly. |
