I thought it was just a Weird Al song but I went to see the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota on Friday.

About a 400 mi. round trip.

Was just a day ride but I didn't have any problems and am preparing for a ride to the U.P. of Michigan the end of the month

Too late by then. The silliness starts about a full week before the rally.

On a plus note, we have had a veritable shit load of snow and rain this year and it is green as green can be right now. Looks to continue for a while.

Rode around clear water lake today. It was good to get back on the bike as it had been over two weeks since I'd rode. A lot on trucks pulling campers home so it was a rather slow paced ride but still very enjoyable.

Just got back from a several day ride centered in Robbinsville, NC. We did 28, Wayah, 129, Cherohala, 360, 72, Foothills Parkway, 321, 441, The BRP from Cherokee to Black Mountain and back, all over Cherokee and Bryson, and many others. The weather was fantastic and not really crowded after Sat. We took our time and explored what we could on SV's.

Im still going through my pics but heres a couple. The dragon trike was at the Tail of the Dragon store on Tuesday.

Bridal Veil Falls on 28 near Highlands

Other falls near Bridal veil. Beautiful area thats tight if traffics heavy. Wished I could have gotten closer.

On 129 by Chilhowee Lake near the Foothills Parkway.

We rode throughout the night some nights. Fugitive Dam

Rode up to Saddleback Mountain lookout today,

Last 1/2 mile or so was a bit steep and loose,   My bud who was out front bike flicked sideways on him and it fucked us all,  momentum is the only friend you have on a supermoto going up hills with shit for grip.

Sorry to butt in, but nah, he's on the track.  Little Talledega is a tiny little road course with grass in between the different parts of the track.

The photo makes it look like it though.

Sweet pics guys. I dig the mountain riding for sure.

I had one of my techs at work (Ford dealership) put new fuel lines on the busa last week....he routed them wrong and I ended up with a pinched fuel line and a bike that wouldn't run yesterday. Trying to repair that while spewing gas all over a grocery store parking lot is not how I wanted to spend my Saturday. I Mcguyvered it together and rode back home with my tank bag under the tank propping it up so the lines wouldn't pinch shut. Sucks because I had the whole day to ride with no family duties. Oh well such is life I suppose.

Hit the Twisted Sisters again over the weekend.

337 is quickly becoming one of my favorite roads. It's short enough that I can ride it several times in a couple hours, compared to only being able to do the whole ride once per day.

I'm off 281 & 306 in Spring Branch.

I ride Hwy. 46 from Bulverde over to Boerne, then get on 16 to Pipe Creek, on to Bandera to Medina, Kerrville, all the way to Fredericksburg, get on 290 until it hits 281 and back home south to 306. What a ride...

Thanks bro. I have to say that some of your pics make me really homesick for Missouri. Grew up in St. Louis County but spent a lot of time at my families property on the Meremec River in Crawford Co. There is a lot of beautiful country here in AZ but nothing like the river systems back there.

The crystal clear gravel bottom rivers are stunning here. I plan on moving back to the east coast at some point and that's one of the main things I'll miss....well and the curvy roads leading to them.

Went dirt biking with my son again yesterday and we had a blast. I put on some arfcom style saddle bags and the storage space for water, snacks, etc helped make the outing much better for a tired, thirsty 10 year old....they also make decent frame sliders

Ran up to the hills ( Auburn/Colfax/Forresthill ) today to see if the smoke from the King fire would make it unrideable,  NOPE,   even got a little rain which made the dirt roads pretty much dust free.

Ended down by Folsom lake to take a quick break before heading for home.

The SO's D-Tracker KLX and my 'lil GS in front of a friends house yesterday. When for a little ride, but got caught in the rain on the way home. Had some t-storms and 45F here, you can really tell summer is over. While we got pretty soaked on the bikes, people got flushed away on the Munich Oktoberfest just 15 mls. down the road.
