LOL....don't like the price, don't buy it. BUT if you really think it is too high and think you can do it better, open your own store. It's all good! I'm a down home Capitalist boy, myself. I'm starting this thread to help others like me make informed buying decisions in a free market economy. Just gathering information with which to vote with our wallets. No, you are staring a black list. If you were trying to help the consumer you'd be here with a link to the guy with the best prices. I recommend CDNN, good folks, good prices. A black list is perfectly valid thing. Turning a profit at the expense of your base is bad business, and these folks have done it. |

CDNN glock mafs same price for a while now. I just checked but they are out of almost everything.....
I suspect they will suddendly get a big supply and raise prices. Jim |

Quoted: The sale on this actually stopped a few days ago already. My local Academy has been selling Monarch 7.62X39 for 2.99 a box. The sale sign was marked December 17th when I picked some up November 3rd. I went back into day November 5th and they pulled the sale sign down and replaced it with a new sign: Priced as is: which is regular priced at 4.88 a box. They have about a case on the shelf and no one was buying it. Has anyone else seen this at their local Academy? I'm going back tomorrow as a scott to see if it's still regualr price and how much they have in stock. Most people expected 11/27 to be the end of the sale or something like that, but I don't know how accurate that was to begin with. If there's a sale going on, buy it NOW. |

oh and 44mag.com looks like they have increased all their mags 2$ from normal prices/since i ordered last a few weeks ago. i've been told that was the end of a previously advertised sale bullshit. their ak mag prices went up 2$ each, grade b hungarian and body-only. (14.99 to 16.99, body only 4.99 to 6.99) their nhmtg went up to 14.99 from 12.99 (i know i bought some a few weeks ago) their cprods are all running for 11.99/12.99 (they used to be 9.99/10.99(follower variants) their d&h's used to be 9.99 and also a closeout 9.99 d&h, they are all up 2$, everything is up 2$ from shit i have bought/looked at in recent weeks. that is not election sale shit All these prices you are quoting are 44Mag's prices from a few months ago before he held his "pre-election sale." He said for weeks that the sale would be over on election night. Now he is selling his wares at his previous prices again. |

I'm glad to see this list updated. This should be a permanent sticky because when a ban doesn't happen we should refuse to do any business with these black listed companies.

What are you going to do in a week or a month when someone on the "gouge" list is the lowest place around on XXX item? Just asking.

That's kind of the point: I thought that was clear. I've done it before and I'm more than willing to continue putting my money where my mouth is. The companies on the Gouge list will never see a red cent of mine again. I don't care if they're the only ones carrying X Sprocket: I'll buy a Y Sprocket elsewhere. Fuck them and stick a fork in them: they're done. |

I myself planned ahead, today just topped off the supply incase things were to get bad in the gun market.
My Personal Dealings today: Midwest Industries- Still qualtiy, Gray 30 Rounders, Green Followers 10 for 99.99 which is pretty good compared to the rest of the market. AIM- Ordered 500 rounds of Wolf Military and 500 rounds of New Centurion. Just my personal run-ins, like I said I didn't need to order, already prepared, had some extra $$ so looked around and found the best deal on the net. I was going to wait till the gun show at the end of the month, however I think it will be off the hook! |

I know for a fact that AMMOMAN was charging 209 per thousand for 762X39 last night, now it's 229. They were also charing 139 per 500 of 223...now it's 149...but it's still "on sale." I can't say for a FACT what the prices were yesterday as I didn't look that closely but the first 4 items in the 7.62x39 section are all 209/1k as of 2 minutes ago and as for the price increase to $149/500 for .223 that does seem suspicious as it's $269/1k which would be about their normal discount for the higher quantity if it was $139 for 500. However even if the price did go up I wouldn't call that one item increase to be "gouging" based on the incredible volume of ammo sales going on right now. Just saying maybe we need to check closely or wait for more than one report before putting someone on the "confirmed" list |
|
Ammoman has been removed from the Gouge List. I've checked their prices and they all look to be standard market fare to me.
The others on the Gouge List have been confirmed. |

AIM Surplus is going to continue to get most of my business. I love their customer service and their integrity. I'm glad to see that they aren't jumping on the completely unjustified panic bandwagon.
All of those who raised prices can expect to NEVER get another order from me unless the rethink their business practices. I'm voting with my wallet and my feet. |

Brownells should be added to the good list, mag prices are the same as last week.

Pretty sure CDNN is good to go.
Comparing their online prices to a 3 month old catalog there is less than a $2 difference if any. Not sure what the prices were 2 days ago though. |

T My post from the other thread, but it obviously needs to be said here too: Wow...there is some seriously reactionary thought and fundamental lack of understanding going on here. It isn't like people are saying that Spikes should be forced to lower their prices or that they deserve a lower because they are entitled to one. This is just a bunch of consumers using a public forum to communicate their displeasure at pricing directly to retailers. How is this any different than the thousands of threads in the ammo forum complaining about high ammo prices? I'll save you from having to think... There really is no difference other than the fact that the retailers are actually here and they read this forum. One of the things that makes ARFCOM great is that we have the ears of most of the top tier manufacturers and retailers. They listen to our input. This is no different than demanding certain product specifications like parkerizing under the front sight or properly staked gas keys. ARFCOM is a concentrated group of consumers expressing their desires to the industry. Whether it is product specifications or pricing, there is no difference. By the way, did anybody call the posters in the new products forum socialists when they complained about certain accessories being overpriced? |

CDNN had significant price increases on many items overnight. I had a number of their items in my CDNN "shopping cart", for an order I decided not to place. I opted instead to save my money for the Wanamaker Gun Show. Anyway, I looked at it again today and every item but one had either gone up or was sold out. One item that really surprised me was a scope mount for a black rifle increased 14% ($20) overnight. Glock mags were either sold out or had a price increase in excess of 20%. I'm not commenting on the why or what, just some facts about the prices on 11/4 vs. 11/5. |

From personal expereince I can verify that on these Glock mags, CDNN prices jumped.. significantly. |

DON'T BUY INTO THE PANIC! Quit fueling the fire, and let retailers sit on their overinflated prices. So far no bill has been introduced/proposed/or sent to committee. The price gouging is based on pure fear. There's no legitimate or logical reason to horde anything (especially at these prices) right now. Let the gougers choke on their inventory. Within a month or two they'll likely have difficulty making payroll and will be forced to bring prices down to more realistic levels. This^^ is the Answer! |
|
Many posters are criticizing the pricing decisions of private businesses on moral grounds. I criticize this criticism, since I don't think it's immoral to try to sell one's stuff for whatever price one wishes.

You are 100% right, but it is also the right of consumers to let retailers and manufacturers know that we aren't happy about the prices and that the increased prices will have consequences. It is the exact same thing as a manufacturer lowering the quality of a product and us complaining about it. They have a right to do it and we have a right to let them know that we will not be buying the products they make or sell unless they change their business practices. |

+1 for Brownells. Their prices always seem to be a little higher than other retailers, but they've been dependable for me, and it looks like their prices are holding steady.
+1 for AIM. I've spent about $1600 with them in the last month or so, their prices are exactly the same now as they were a month ago. Good folks to deal with. Bravo Company has gotten quite a bit of my business lately, in fact I've got a shipment on the way from them right now. Their prices seem to be holding steady, but they're sold out on a lot of things unfortunately. I think they're good guys. Just my 2 cents worth, Dennis |
|
It's the consumers job to get quality goods/services for the cheapest price possible. It's the sellers job to get the sale of the specified good/service at the highest price possible.
This is NOT complicated folks. If you don't want it, don't pay. If you do, pay. Simple. |

I can see a justification on a 10% increase due to the abundant orders and the sheer volume these companies are dealing with as of the last month. But something that is going up 40-60% is a downright shame. I applaud those companies who are holding true to their price and not attempting to ream us without lube. I understand it is a fear that has everyone in a scramble that may or may not be justified. HOWEVER, we are all giving you business in excess of what you have seen all year and maybe more than you have ever seen as a business and now you decide to screw over your loyal customers? Pretty pathetic and people are justifiably outraged. Thanks for the list of people gouging and links to prove it.
To add to the "good guy" list Area51tactical Bright Flashlights Ammunition to go Cproducts have just got over 1100 in the past two days from me and I thank them for their diligence and honest business practices. |

Noveske has raised prices as well. Pre election N4 upper was $895 now it is $945 Did you notice that Noveske has switched from the standard flattop upper receiver to the VLTOR MUR for many of their N4 uppers? The retail difference between those receivers alone is over a hundred bucks, so I can live with a $50 price increase. |

But don't worry, Obama will take all their gains and redistribute it to poor folks. Bullshit! $300 for a fucking Romanian drum mag is waaaaaay beyond making a profit.
