I have an 870 that my dad got me when I was 15. We shot trap two weekends a month for over three years with it so who knows how many thousands of rounds that is. I still have it, and it still works just fine. I'm 40 now so it's been around for a while.

I'd have to talk to a few wing shootin friends. I know they beat the tar out of mossbergs and benelli pumps, especially in dove season.

was wondering why it wont load shells anymore. Actually the damn thing is so long only way to get a complete shot, even though still missing the front of the barrel by 12 feet.

Shotguns can last longer than most pistols or rifles simply due to the fact they have fewer moving parts...especially pump actions, which consist of a couple springs and pieces of metal
