After several fans tweeted that they wanted Charlie Sheen, who played Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn in the movie, to throw out the first pitch during the upcoming World Series, Sheen responded via Twitter:

The coolest thing about it from a celebrity first pitch standpoint, is that if he throws a wild pitch (which is common as fuck with celebrity first pitches), it'll actually be in character.

You really can't go wrong. You're right - it'd be the best marketing move in the history of professional sports. There is virtually no downside.
