Quoted: Philly, keeping it classy as usual. That was bullshit, guy deserves to have his ass kicked. She did nothing wrong that I could see. Hopefully she will be well compensated for the thuggery. I thought that originally as well. However, watching the slowed down .gif, she clearly was spraying something on the officers and then was taking off. Probably didn't need to be smacked, but definitely arrested. |

Haha... Dumb bitch got what she deserved. She broke Rule #1- never invite the man into your life. John She wasn't the one who threw the water. Watch it again. And I wonder what went on just before the video started rolling. John Just saw the .gif. It looks like silly string. Some other person threw the water that got the attention of the cop who punched her. Cops were making a arrest and she, and others, are attempting to interfere, incite, or lynch, the suspect. Fuck her. John I don't see any evidence that the police were making an arrest. They were gathered around a car in the parade. After the assault, you can see them disperse, there is no one in cuffs and no civilians amidst the officers. I guess e two officers handcuffing a male suspect leaning up against the car could have been an optical illusion...? Really, I realize I'm a trained observed, but at least pretend to hide your biases. John |

John Our definitions of "running" and "interfering" differ greatly. ...and I don't care... You commit a crime and don't stop when an officers tells you to stop, you are running Your keen interpretive abilities is probably why you're a crime fighter and I'm not. |

If someone throws water on me at say a football game can I in turn cold cock them? I'm just curious if a cop would buy it, that I was defending myself from a splash of water and felt my life was threatened. |

Meh, paused it and watched the "punch" a bunch of times. Looks more like an open hand slap to me, a standard distraction technique.

Lame. |

I was going to say something similar, looks more like an aggressive grab (since you see his other hand come up to the back of her head at the same time) and after 'impact' he looks at his striking hand like 'wtf just happened?' Had to watch the same two seconds of video about 5-6 times to see it though. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

No. He punched her as a representative of Darwin. She chose to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Time for the President to drop his less important duties and invite them to the White House for a beer. |

Look at the left hand motion. It wasn't a grab. |

BAM bitch!
Stupidity hurts, as well it should. Im not gonna get into the right nor the wrong of it.....but she could have easily avoided that situation had she wanted to. As the other poster mentioned, dont invite the man into your life. Its amazing how Ive gone 45 years and NEVER had a cop arrest me or punch me in the face. Trust me, thats by design, not by accident. |

I can tell you there is no way I would sprinkle water on that cop. He's fucking big enough already.

Wow.
The "men" we hire for cops nowadays. Their "rules" say it's ok, so that makes it just fine. |

Plus they didn't shout "stop resisting" loud enough for it to not be brutality. It looks pretty bad on video, but there are a few things that stand out. First, the guy's hand is underneath him, and IIRC they thought he was armed. They didn't know he was unconscious right away, and thought he was resisting by keeping his weapon under him. Whatever it was, it was enough for a GJ to give them a pass. |

This reminds me, whatever happened to the cop that superman punched that guy into a coma? Not much. I believe the cop was charged and no trial has yet taken place. It only happened a few months ago and I believe the average time between a charge being made and an actual adjudication is 6 months in most places...and that "average" includes lots of people who just plead out to charges. In a contested case I'd be surprised if a trial happened in less than a year. |
