Typing this on a tablet so it might not come out just right, but think back to the end of the last episode as well as the end of last season. Mike was out to get Hector at the end of last season when he found the note on his windshield. Pretty obvious now that one of Gus’s men put it on there because they had a GPS tracker on the car. At the end of last week's episode, Mike was tailing the gus who had put the GPS on his car and came across the cell phone in the middle of he road. I'm guessing that it was Gus on the phone telling Mike "Look, if you really want to get even with Hector here's how...". If you'll notice, the beginning of he show was a Chicken Brothers truck running the same route as what the popsicle truck used to run. I'm guessing gus saw it as a way to eliminate Hector's guys while still staying out of it. View Quote |

They may be witnesses, but what did they really witness. Jimmy's biggest charge is the feliny B&E, but take note of the prosecutor's question to Chuck about the locks. First, she finds out that he had keys, then she finds out that Chuck didn't ask for keys back, and then she finds out that Chuck had the locks changed without Jimmy knowing. Chuck freely admitted that Jimmy was the primary care gover for a long time and was only recently supplanted by Chuck's subbordinates. To me, this gives Jimmy completely reasonable cause to expect to enter the home, which as far as he knew, he just couldn't get the key to work in that heated instance. On the jury, I vote not guilty. Right, that's exactly what I was trying to say. I think gus set up the meeting with the doctor so that Mike could take Hector's people out of play. I think the trial will finally give us the insight as to why Chuck is so crazy. Jimmy/Kim wont hold back with his questioning. Good opportunity for the writers to revisit the past we don't know about yet. Character witnesses? would be cool to see Chucks ex wife called in.

I know Howard is a seasoned, experienced lawyer, but does he have it in him to lie on the witness stand? It's a stretch, but it might occur to Jimmy that when he got there, he didn't see Howard's car anywhere in sight. Jimmy/Kim goes knocking on a few doors, and finds a neighbor that spotted Howard sneaking through the backyards. Howard lies on the stand about why he was there, Jimmy produces the witness, and Howie is fucked. Not only does Jimmy win, he gets two birds with one stone. |

I rewatched the episode since I fell asleep the other night.
Mike sure went through a lot of trouble to plant drugs on that truck. 1) knowing when the truck would come by and stop (this had to take lots of surveillance) 2) shooting the planted shoes, after he shot off a few rounds to make the drivers suspect hunters 3) the drugs blowing into the wind and on to the back of the truck so the dogs would get a hit at checkpoint. All of this to allow Gus to get the route and jump starting their relationship. This all made for a good show but it does get slow |

Howard is going to clam up to the DA, and take the PI (who presumably the firm is paying) with him. It's his only play. Why in the hell would Howard risk everything just to fuck Jimmy? There's no upside to it for him. |

My guess is Jimmy walks in with a signed affidavit stating that he James Morgan McGill will no longer practice law in the state of New Mexico.
Howard strongly encourages Chuck to go along with this he does and Jimmy petitions for a name change and transfers his New Mexico law license to Saul Goodman. How this will effect Kim I dunno but in BB we see that Saul solo practices out of a small strip mall and has take a slightly trashily transformed Francesca with him as his receptionist. But yeah it would make sense that prim and propper Howard's HH&M persona would be greatly threatened by any witnesses that could testify to his trespassing and sneaking through their backyards over their fences in order to entrap Jimmy... Next week will be another fun filled episode..can't wait. The opening faded tennis shoe scene was a terrific device to show time going by and Los Pollos Hermanos truck having replaced Salamanca's ice cream truck on the route... |

I drove by the scene as they were filming and noticed the two trucks and thought to myself how are they going to tie the two trucks together at the same time? Now it makes sense, I saw the tennis shoes hanging and the two mules were filming the scene where they were hiding behind the sagebrush while shots were being fired. The scene was shot on the way to the Montessa transfer station, south of ABQ where the off road area is, I was on my way to the transfer station hauling yard waste. If you notice it when Jimmy was arrested and he took off the ring, he became Saul. His demeanor changed somewhat and his speech and body language subtly changed to Saul.

How realistic is that drug dogs sniffer?? Mike gets some powder on their bumper, they drive down the road 50-60mph for even a few miles and all that powder would be gone!

I can't be the only person to realize that Jimmy is pretty much trying to practice law on the up and up; some morally flexible advertising and squat cobbler fetish films not withstanding.
I mean he is practicing elder law. He isn't an ambulance chaser or shaking businesses down for cash. He isn't running the books for meth dealers or manufactures or getting violent criminals out of jail time. He's just trying to make a living. Jimmy is everything his brother said he couldn't be and he is slowly being made into everything Chuck feared he could be. Amazing. |

Truck scheme was too complex, but that's the show. Didn't comprendo the flash forward on the first pass.
Really enjoyed the actors doing the geeky ADA friend and the ADA Hays from out of town, just really solid. I always want to hug Kim when Jimmy's being an ass, like in court or in her office when he says he has to do it on his own. The last scene in front of the block wall was really beautiful. The silhouettes of them holding hands is my new background for a while. |
