Formula One sale near. (WSJ subscription required)

The long-awaited sale of the Formula One may finally be nearing the finish line.

A number of bidders including British broadcaster Sky PLC are circling Formula One and a winner of the auction could emerge in the next few weeks, according to people familiar with the matter. A deal could value the racing series at around $8 billion or more.

Other possible buyers participating in the process include a team of Discovery Communications Inc. and John Malone’s Liberty Global PLC, the people said.

I keep waiting for Hamilton to pop up in one of the modeling ads I keep seeing on here lately.

He's a far cry from Hunt.

Please let's not see another Merc 1-2 tomorrow.

He seems to have fallen apart recently.  I wonder why.  Some of it is probably in his head but some of it seems ot be technical.  Merc. playing games?  I dunno know but it sure seems like they are favoring Ham.

he was getting his shit pushed in by the kid and he wanted to put him into the fence. He's lucky he did not get a worse penalty. Given its not his first time doing the same exact same time they should have.

Niko needs to quit watching Supercross before he heads to the track,  the block pass is frowned upon in F1.

Did anyone hear will buxton say the cheapest ticket for this weekend there was 280 euro. With the exchange that's like 300 buck or more right? Holy fucking christ

Most of motorsports is right now, but it's more pronounced for F1.

F1 has lost 1/3 of it's TV audience since 2008, mostly because it's a bullshit series full of Eurofags that can't speak English very well that always seems to be dominated by a handful of teams and drivers.

Meanwhile IndyCar ratings have been way up this year.
