I am only 43, but in those years I don't remember a single president that didn't have some group calling them a dictator and comparing him to Hitler, not a single one.

With the amount of power the executive branch now has, it would be easy to call any president a dictator. Still has a long ways to go to be more of a dictator than that last guy.

Trump puts an awful lot of pressure on the media and parts of the government to act on their own behalf. That in no way means he is going to act on his own for them.

He kept the message simple and short. Elect me and I will fix stuff. Fine. That's what happened. He should keep in mind that Obama won 2 terms.
Those voters are still out there. They may not have liked Hillery but they will turn on Trump in a heartbeat if he does not do what he said he will.

I think you should re learn what a dictator is then compare Trump and Obama.

A hint: Trump has not codified any of his beliefs about the media or parts of the government into law.

The President has gone out of his way to assure the population that he is not any sort of a "Dictator". And, even more of an infuriating move to the left at least, the President sits back and contemplates the moves of the left before moving.

Their bitter tears are sustenance in which he bathes in daily. Between tweets.

If he where the "Dictator" that the left believes him to be the left would more than likely start to disappear mysteriously we've never had to really deal with any sort of a dictator here in the U.S.A. though some have come close.

The left would quickly know if the President where to have became a dictator. By not electing hillery we missed our opportunity to experience one up close you can practically bet on that. The left would have cheered with her election and moved quickly with their plans to shove socialism up our asses and down our throats as fast as they could.

In fact, all of the current antifa activity and other stupid left tactics and groups, seemed to appear on some sort of a schedule. As if they where preplanned or something. Kind of like after a certain politician had been elected to the nations highest office.

I laugh at the lefts attempt(s) to paint our President as a "Dictator" as he isn't even a shadow of one.

I'm not surprised, and the last two Presidents got the same treatment from their opponents. Not sure if it was done regularly before that, as I did not pay much attention to contemporary politics before late 2000.

I think FDR (justly) had such accusations leveled at him, but I cannot recall for sure. Lincoln definitely got that treatment, but it was also well-deserved, and the GOP called him such as a point of pride (and Karl Marx wrote with pleasure in this vein).
