Anyone look into the Center Ice App this year?

Looks like its an old app, says free the way it used to, but need to pay to upgrade and to get all the old features?

Or will they have a new one once season starts?

Some news about the wings:

By the 5 p.m. deadline, the Wings had pulled off the following moves: Gustav Nyquist was sent to Grand Rapids. Darren Helm and Patrick Eaves were placed on Long Term Injured Reserve, sidelining them a minimum of 10 games or 24 days, creating roster space and salary cap space.

Really good insight on the cap, how the Wings are working in it and other moves HERE

Semin, Gleason, Ruutu, Skinner, and Lindholm.

Ruutu and Gleason are week to week, Skinner should be back Monday, Lindholm will be on the roster for the 1st game.

Semin should be back also.

All healthy:

Tlusty / Eric / Semin

Gerbe / Jordan / Ruutu

Skinner / Lindholm / Dvorak

Bowman / Nash / Dwyer

Westgarth

Sekera / Faulk

Gleason / Hainsey

Harrison / Murphy

Komisarek

Ward

Anton

---

But opening weekend:

Tlusty / Eric / Semin?

Gerbe / Jordan / Dwyer

Skinner / Nash / Dvorak

Bowman / Sutter / Westgarth

Sekera / Faulk

Hainsey / Muprhy

Harrison / Komisarek

Bellemore

Ward

Anton

That should be interesting.  I think they will surprise some people this year.

What's up with Skinner?  Seems like he fell on the depth chart

Defense sucks.  But I think he is better off on the 3rd line.  He will still get 1st line PP most likely.

But the 2nd line is a shut down line, 3rd line is energy and scoring.

If Lindholm lives to his hype (Backstrom is who they compare him to), that will be the best 3rd line in the NHL.

They finally showed why- Orr fell and George didn't let go. Fell straight over him and clocked his face on the ice.

Get well soon, George. And good on Orr- total sportsmanship there as he realized Parros was out.

It would be ironic if Jordan gets bumped to 3rd line minutes

It would be a nice problem to have

I hope Lindholm develops as projected,  they predict him as a 1st line center.  3 years from now, move Eric to wing, and have a Eric / Lindholm / Semin 1st line.

Hockey diplomacy was Tripp Tracy's only hope to rescue brother

Read more here: http://www.newsobserver.com/2013/10/01/3246273/decock-hockey-diplomacy-was-his.html#storylink=cpy

The sense of helplessness was overwhelming. Tripp Tracy’s
younger brother had been arrested and imprisoned in Venezuela, accused
of espionage. The Carolina Hurricanes television analyst and his family
were scrambling to figure out what to do next.

Grasping at any
thread of hope, Tracy mined his hockey connections. It was only through a
quirk of the schedule the Hurricanes flew to Pittsburgh the next day
for the final game of the 2012-13 season. There, he saw his old college
teammate, Penguins forward Craig Adams, whose father-in-law was the one
man Tracy thought might be able to help: Paul Cellucci, the former
governor of Massachusetts and U.S. ambassador to Canada

That is interesting.

Tripp gets a lot of shit from us, but he is that goofy guy you have to kind of like.

John Forslund is the best play by play guy in the league.  I would go insane if the Canes lost him.

(After reading the whole story, wow.)
