That suck it up new guy and hazing mentality has proven to be made up of people with deep seated emotional issues.

So keep on chasing people away and very soon like so many other websites of all kinds there will be about 10 people patting each other on the back and telling them how cool they are, in this case I guess it would be tacticool. I have seen it happen on so many other websites over the years and it always ends the same way. The same type of immature people allowed to destroy a formally great place for people who have the same interests. A few rotten apples spoiling the bunch.

Some of y'all really have to grow up and the mods here have to start thinking in terms of the future of this place. If they let this BS continue they will not have a future.

If you don't have something good to say, don't say it. Respect others and you will get respect back. Why has this become a lost old world way for adults to act and think? Once you turn 21 you have adult rights, when are the people in the USA going to start appreciating their rights and STOP acting like fools. No wonder the people are losing their rights in this country, you're giving them up by acting like morons. Start thinking in terms of who you represent, if I were the powers that be I would see that y'all are ripe for being taking advantage of because of your immature and emotionally warped mentality. It's not just here it's all through the internet and the American society. A scientific study done has shown the IQ of the American public has steadily gone down, it is showing.

Seriously OP if you have a contract for 11X with ranger option then you really need to get a thicker skin and fast.

13r's have a bad rap, However there have been a lot of 13r's that joined that were clearly full of it.

You made a statement about soldiers doing it wrong, and you were corrected. This is nothing like what your first day of Basic will be like, and wait for Ranger indoctrination. You will be doing something right and still get jumped on for doing it wrong. Maybe you should have asked a question rather than making a statement.

GD is a cesspool of the most vile type of internet scum sometimes, get a thick skin and get over it. Or don't venture in there.

There's a little bit of hazing for EVERY newbie here. There always has been.

There probably always will be.

Generally the membership is a good bunch here that means no harm. You're just getting the same ribbing

that we all got when we were new and hadn't yet become acculturated to the site.

Suck it up, grin and bear it, join the fun by giving as good as you get.

This whole hazing thing is an almost instinctive "probe for weakness" scenario.

If you're leaving so soon, maybe your skin has not yet grown tough enough to be happy here.

But we have some team members here who aren't old enough to drink, smoke, or drive and they're

quite able to play. So if they can survive and have fun here, WHY CAN'T YOU?

Know that you're just being hazed. It stops before too long, depending on your reaction.

Take a Midol and join the fight!

Or slink away with your tail between your legs. Either way,

we'll still be here and still enjoying the discussions.

The choice is yours.

I suggest you stick around and learn to join in on the fun instead of focus on the little bit of hazing

that you and all other new guys get until you show you've got the stones to stand up and return fire in kind.

I was once a rookie here. I rode in after the sunset of the 1994 Clinton assault weapons ban, thus my 04 join date. It happened again in 2008 with the Obama election(flood of new members) and happened once again in 2013 because of Sandy hook and Obama.

Every time, floods of idiots join this site because they follow the trend and buy guns for political reasons. We are not here because of politics...we are here because shooting is what we do. We are hard on new members because most of you guys will be gone in a few months anyway. If shooting really is one of your passions then stick around, you will learn more than you could ever care to.

The best thing you can do is keep quiet and listen/learn and contribute when you can.

OP your thread title sums it up "My Problem". You say you have matured from your the days of your YouTube vids three years ago? Judging by your posts I think not.

Criticizing field soldiers weapons configurations when you have no-zero-nada experience is suicide by post here...do you see all the tanks by members avatars? Do you know what those mean? Christ in comparison to what you posted and the replies, you got off pretty fucking easy.

I've spent the better part of a decade in the last two wars as a civi which is what you are now despite your 11x. The only comment regarding weapon handling or compliant have, is the paper pushing NCOs that like the Miami Vice holster for their handguns. Something unsettling about standing in line at the PX behind them and the barrel of their guns pointing directly at your chest. I'll probably catch heat for that comment.

STFU, read, ask questions that you can't find the answers to and DO NOT CRITICIZE OR COMMENT ON SHIT YOU HAVE NO REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE OF!!

Posters and members on here with an old join date and a high post count are about as stuck up as a high school quarterback, and with more money than sense. "Yeah just picked up another Larue obr, and I have more dilly dust than I could ever want" whoopdidoo, good for you.

I tried to be a productive member on here, can't do it, there's more drama on arfcom than on a 14 year old girl's twitter page. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say this either, there are many "noobs" as you call us that are new to the tactical shooting world and are looking for guidance and support in our new hobby, but instead we get met with a hail of insults and bitched at because of our 13er status.

Knowing the kind of people on here now has made me a little bit disappointed in the American shooting community, I'm disappointed every time I look at my ar because a it's just a sick reminder of the childish behavior and stuck up attitude of a lot of the people associated with it.

OP, any online forum is going to have its share of stupidity. Consider it an extension of the real world (which it is). There are people you'll love, people you'll try to hang out with, friends, enemies, retards, creepy guys who will follow you around complimenting your backside, bronies, phonies, gear whores, braggarts, pretty much everyone you'd meet in real life. The key is to have a thick skin and not be afraid of mixing it up a little. If you decided to go home and cry after your first foray into a social situation, you'll never get anywhere. Same here.

1. Read. READ. READ A LOT. You might not think it's a dumb question, but it HAS been asked (unless you're in GD and asking why your dingleberries have blood in them, but that's probably been asked too). You'll save yourself a lot of grief if you'll make an effort to find an answer before starting a new thread.

2. Don't have an ego. Get over yourself and learn to take criticism. You're 18, it's going to be tempting to assert your manliness, but nobody cares.

3. Fcking 13'ers.
