Keep kicking that ass, OP.  Wait until you have to buy all new clothes--it's a good problem to have.

So I have allowed myself to get into pretty piss poor shape and it is time to do something about it...

As of tomorrow I start working out at the gym and doing cardio... 5 nights a week... I am totally disgusted with myself for allowing myself to get into this kinda shape.

I have cut out all sugary drinks and am cutting back on proportions... plus moving to basically a low carb high protein diet.

I have thought about adding a supplement as well, but I don't know shit about what is out there these days that is worth a fuck... any suggestions?

UPDATE:  Making progress... down about 15 pounds in 3 weeks, MAJOR DIET OVERHAUL, HUGE Fitness improvements, Starting some weight training next week now that my fitness level is getting better.  Also have started a supplement regiment to help boost Testosterone, Metabolism and just a good general multi-vitamin.  I have cut daily calorie intake to around 1600-1800 mostly lean proteins and complex carbs, I have cut all non-natural sugars (I have cheated only a couple times here and both were on the 4th...lol)... I still drink my OJ in the mornings, but I figure the benefits there outweigh the sugars.

Two Month Update!

THREE MONTH UPDATE:
I am now down about 35lbs from my start at 275.  Had a couple of rough weeks and kinda fell off the wagon diet wise, but am back at it harder and stricter than ever.  Still lifting pretty heavy and am gaining LOTS of mass very quickly... I am actually surprising myself at the strength and endurance I have gained.

Keep on keepin' on.

down 50#. started October of last year and it took about 6 months of eating right and walking 2-4 miles a day.  Once the weight was off, started running on a tread mill. Am up to 3.25 miles in 35 minutes. And I "run" a core class at work 2x a week now!

Glad to see you're still at it. Today I hit my original goal from the spring of 220 (-65 lbs). I thought I'd check in and see how you are doing.  I've been concentrating on weight loss, not as much lifting as I should, but what I have been doing is working, so I have stayed with it. My goal new goal is to shed 20 more then really focus on strength on my new lighter frame.

I am actually doing both at the same time... I am building LOTS of muscle as can be seen in the photos, my upper body has made HUGE gains while at the same time I am shedding the fat.  The strength gains I have made have surprised me... while I am still fat, I think I could probably go run a Marine Corps PFT and PASS!!  My metabolism is SCREAMING!!  I ate like total shit for almost 2 weeks while I was out of town for work... I still lost weight.

Not really, just woke up one morning and decided I was tired of being fat and out of shape... My goal is to end up looking better than I did when I was in the Corps.

Congrats!

I'm trying again. 10 days no soda. No artificial sweeteners. Cutting out a ton of fat, eating so much fruit and vegetables, my shit is coming out like hay bales with broken wires.
