When you're dealing with matters of life and death that is handled by a government bureaucracy it pays to be careful. That stories like this seem to show up on a pretty regular basis has made me rethink my position on the death penalty. I always wonder how many more truly innocent people are rotting in prison as a result of our justice system trying to make the crime fit the suspect, corruption and the thirst for advancement and power amongst DA's and judges. |
