Steve:  More likely complete rifles.

SKSseven:  Credit cards will be up to the final FFL.  Very likely a lag between the charge to card & shipping from Bushmaster or other mfgr. to the FFL & then on to each purchaser's FFL.

I'm going to try to find a location out-of-State to keep one, so far it's looking like I've got a few options. I'd be interested in an M4 configuration, so put me down as a "Definite Maybe".[;)]

I'm in as long as it stays under 600 bucks. No preference on type. Actually a lower would be the best, but I could scrounge up the money for a complete.

i've been holding my tongue on this but anybody here who thinks they're going to get a new limted run bushie for $535.00,$550.00 or even $600.00 is dreaming.my new M4 upper alone was just over $600.00 to my door.i think we can realistically expect the price to be closer to $700.00 shipped.but then what do i know ,i'm just a madman.mmk

i'd be interested in an M4 A3 14.5" w/AK  brake or a CavArms(did i get the name right?) lower.

put me in the "definite maybe" category.

No preference.

This is great.  The larger this lists gets the better price we can expect to pay.  We realize we will lose some of you when the final configuration comes out, but none the less this is encouraging.  Just lowers are not part of the plan as it stands now.  Lowers a cheap enough that if someone wants to put one together on there own, no big deal.  We are trying to put a totally "unique" rifle that will mean something to the people who purchase it.

madman kirk,

You are probably correct about the price, though I suspect that an order for a hundred or more should bring it down some.  OTOH, I'm still interested in a unique gun series, as long as the price doesn't get out of hand.

Sure- I'm in for one, and a strong maybe on a second one.

Has to be-

Complete rifle from Bushmaster, If Bushy put's em together as a complete rifle, they are collectable.

Price around $550

Would be nice if it had-

(our) Logo and custom SN.

And I would FAR prefer a Flat-top M4gery over anything else.

I also second whoever said that we must be sure that Bushy never makes any more for anyone else with the site logo or SN. BTW, what's up with the logo anyhoo? anyone know what it'll look like?

Wow! If you don't stop by AR15.com for a few days look what you could miss!!! [sleep]

I am a poor college student, so money is the big factor.  An AR15.com logo and/or serial # would be an added bonus and something that could not be passed up.

Put me down as a MAYBE for either a LOWER or a M4 A3 (i.e. flat-top).

If this deal doesn't go through until June, then I will definitely have the money. [;)]

My vote for 2 maybe's has been counted.  I failed to add my preferance for rifle type.  I would prefer a M4-A3.  Of course with the logo and special serial number. Thanx for all your hard work guys!!    Tim

I see I am listed as a Maybe with no preference.  Actually I do have a preference, the M4, A3 type preferably.  I am only a Maybe due to model type.  The M4 is the only one I would be interested in.

Put me on the maybe list.  For around $550, I'm not picky about the configuration although a 16" lightweight dissipator would be kinda nice.  I've already ordered an M-4 upper so it's not my first choice, but I'll go with majority on this.

give me a time line for cash, and I'm in for an m4gery.

You can put me down for a maybe 2nd gun.  One of my non-member friends wants in, I'm in for sure, but he wants to wait until we figure out the price and configuration.

Since it looks like an M4 is going to be the final configuration, put that down as our preference.

I think mmk and John Will are probably right. If Bushie quotes too high a price then I say we go with one of the other manufacturers that have shown interest in this. DPMS has said they would do the group purchase at $531 for over 60 units. I know that many of us (myself included) do not want a mixed parts gun, but how attatched are we to the rifle being a Bushmaster (which, for the record, is still my fisrt choice)?

What is the original/basic configuration we are talking about here? I'm just coming in and need some update. $531.00 sounds good, I live in NJ.
count me as a maybe, depending again on config.

Count me in.  I have been gone for a while, so I am sort of short on details.  Who handles the FFL work?  Are we to find our own or are there members in several states who already have an FFL.  I live in Washington State.  Are there any here?  Thanks in advance!

I agree with this line of thought.  I think we need to see what the details are that we get back from Bushmaster first.  If the price is a lot more than originally talked about, say $700 range, then I think it makes sense to see what another manufacturer can do for us.  I think the good price is a big draw to a lot of the people who have expressed interest, so if the price ends up being much higher than expected it makes sense to offer a couple choices and go with what the majority of members decides is the best VALUE (not necessarily the cheapest price).

Grin&Barrett,

For $531 count me in for 1 definately and 2 additional (buddies) possibly.  I'll talk to my buddies this afternoon.  My preference is

Colt M4 flat top
Bushmaster M4 flat top

I've got an FFL here to send them to but if we have someone on the list in the 46032 zip code I'd support them.
