OP's lake:

6 months ago, water elevation was 539.56 ft, -10.44 ft below full stage, 53.7% Full
1 week ago, water elevation was 551.01, 1.01 ft above full stage, 100% Full
2 days ago, 10 hrs before earlier pics were taken, water elevation was 551.75, 1.75ft above full, >100% Full
Yesterday, when later pictures were taken, water elevation was 556.28, 6.28 ft above full stage, >100% Full
Today, water elevation is 557.03ft above MSL, 7.03ft over full, >100% Full

So I'm guessing water has gone up 6 feet from the pictures in the OP, and 1 foot over what the pictures on page 2 show.

Hopefully OP got his stuff packed before this morning

I hope so. That 6 vertical feet would be lapping at his door. I'll ride by in a bit and see if it's a snorkle zone.

Is that a tennis court in your backyard? Or some sort of alligator feeding pen (it is Texas, after all)?

dilapidated tennis court.

It's now a boat ramp

Yes, after a little bit of research, i too doubt it was a water moccasin. I thought they got bigger than 6ft, my bad. I didn't want to get close enough to positively ID it. Can always count on GD to focus on the important stuff.

I was across the the lake on the Ft Worth side this Saturday for a birthday party.  The water was up pretty high.  Saw no 8' moccasins but had to drive through a street that was flooded by a massively overflowing sanitary sewer .  I remember a couple of summers ago, it looked like you could walk across the lake.

Depends on where OP is. Around me, Lake Travis is still 20ft below full and Lake Buchanan is still 30ft below full.

Travis however, has come up 30ft in the last month.

It is interesting to see how much less Austin area lakes are filling. Here in Bell county things are filled up.

Belton was 72.2% full a month ago and is now at 100%+ with 9 feet of water over conservation level. Stillhouse Hollow went from 67.8% a month ago to 100%+ with 3 feet above conservation.

I guess the problem on the lower Colorado is that there are several lakes in close proximity. Each of our lakes have their own rivers and nothing close to them to siphon anything off.
