Great work OP! That looks bad ass. Love me some Strike Eagle...
Nice job. I haven't built any in a long time, been thinking about doing some while I am laid up with a bad leg.
I have dozens of unbuilt kits down in the basement, mostly aircraft, many rare kits that haven't been released in twenty or thirty years. Just dragged out a 1/72 scale XB-70 I'm looking to start... searched the kit on the net and found it's now going for $150! It's gonna suck replacing all the paints that have dried up from sitting unused for so damn long, though. |
Give it a light coat of Future before you apply the decals, then hit it with some dullcote. |
Those are really expensive now............I was looking for one awhile back and after I saw the price.............man, it's alot. As for the paints, I was told by a modeler that for long term storage he turned them from time to time, and also put 2-3 BBs in the bottles to help keep them stirred up...........works pretty good

OP, I just discovered you're not finished!
You need to paint a green star on the front of it. 14 February 1991: An unusual incident occurred during Desert Storm, when Captains Tim Bennett and Dan Bakke, United States Air Force, flying the airplane in the above photograph, McDonnell Douglas F-15E-47-MC Strike Eagle, 89-0487, used a 2,000-pound (907.2 kilogram) GBU-10 Paveway II laser-guided bomb to “shoot down” an Iraqi Mil Mi-24 Hind attack helicopter. This airplane is still in service with the Air Force, and on 13 January 2012 became the first F-15E to have logged over 10,000 flight hours.... Link to details |

I did an F-15K ROK Slam Eagle that my FIL got in Korea. I never painted it though, so it sits naked in bright grey.
