His primary function is to insure order and see that the proceedings continue in a proscribed fashion according to the rules, a referee between two opposing lawyers to see that shenanigans aren't perpetrated against the process as it plays out by either side. Like I said it's bullshit and he made it more of an issue than it needed to be and gave the BLM idiots more ammo for their BS. Its no different when a Judge says you can't wear a shirt that says fuck the police or some such in the courtroom. GD proves again that activist judges are bad....unless they're our activist judges. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
GD proves again that activist judges are bad....unless they're our activist judges. I wouldn't call that "Activism". Activism consists of efforts to promote, impede, or direct social, political, economic, or environmental change, or stasis with the desire to make improvements in society and to correct social injustice. Forms of activism range from writing letters to newspapers or to politicians, political campaigning, economic activism such as boycotts or preferentially patronizing businesses, rallies, street marches, strikes, sit-ins, and hunger strikes. One can also express activism through different forms of art (Artivism). Daily acts of protest such as not buying clothes from a certain clothing company because they exploit workers is another form of activism. One view holds that acknowledging privileges and oppressions on a daily basis ranks as a form of activism.[1] Research has begun to explore how activist groups use social media to facilitate civic engagement and collective action.[2][3] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Activism |

Fuck that noise...You want activist judges?? 'cause that's how you get activist judges. It's not HIS fucking courtroom, it belongs to the taxpayer's. His job is to officiate over the proceedings and not to establish his personal fiefdom. That dumb shit is like giving cops "Judge Dredd" power...bad idea. This is part of the reason this country is where it's at today. People accepting that a judge OWNS the fucking court as opposed to just working there and his word IS law. Clearly you don't know about how much control a Judge has over his/her courtroom and why. Has nothing to do with activism or who owns the building. Clearly you haven't been paying attention to the consequences of activist judges legislating from the bench. That is not activism, the Judge is protecting the courtroom from political influence. Do you think her client is going to be treated fairly with a Jury of your peers once they see her with a BLM button? Of course not. She is the one trying to be an activist. BLM are a bunch or terrorists. I wouldn't let someone wear an ISIS pin in courtroom either if I were a judge. It's disrespectful to the police and to people of other races. In addition, it could influence a jury. |

Quoted: Your tinfoil is on too tight. A judge is expected to keep the courtroom a-political and respectful. Also lawyers KNOW, without a doubt, to not wear such things and to be presentable. Judges kick lawyers out all the time for things like this. Probably what happend was, Black Pat wore that Bill Nye jumpsuit and pin to get a reaction. Judge told her to remove the pin. She got lippy and probably started chanting some slavery nonsense. Judge jailed her. ^This^ Just like the BLM defying orders of the Police, she defied the orders of the Judge. I wonder what the response would be if a White attorney wore a KKK button and a Swastika in a Black Judge's courtroom? She should have received 30 days instead of five. Personally, NFG. If you were a juror and the attorney was wearing a BLM button what would you think of him/her and the client s/he represents? If you are like 99% of GD, you would think that the attorney was a racist POS. If that is true, there lies the possibility of a biased jury. If that is evident, then there is a higher possibility of an appeal. Judges don't want their cases to be overturned. That is why the judge demanded the button be removed. |

You can't wear such items in court. She knew that.
Hell some judges have forbidden cops to wear their uniform in court when testifying. One case a judge said off duty cops could not wear uniforms in the audience area of the courtroom. |
