Too hard to pick just one. Some contenders:
Lawrence of Arabia Young Frankenstein The Life of Brian The holy Grail (monte Python) The Day the Earth Stood Still (original version) Saving Private Ryan Full Metal Jacket Gladiator Braveheart Forest Gump What is cool is that there are that many great movies out there. Given another 15 minutes I am certain I could double my list, but other people in this thread also list some greats. |

Dr Strangelove
Monty Python Holy Grail Raising Arizona Just pick one. |

Tough call for me, but in terms of quality, entertainment, and topics that appeal to me, I don't think a finer movie has ever been made....
A Very Long Engagement - Original Theatrical Trailer Trailer 1 |

Top three, and no I can't pick just one...two of them are Bogart movies.
Casablanca Treasure of the Sierra Madre Once Upon A Time In The West |

Hard to go wrong with Robert Redford. While not in it, he narrates "A River Runs Through It", which is also one of my favorites. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Braveheart And Gladiator might take it on occasion View Quote However, my pick is Rush. Rush - Theatrical Trailer Fantastic movie, I could watch it a million times and not be bored. Great characters (and yes, I know my F1 history... truth is stranger than fiction), amazing cinematography, and the sounds... good Lord, the V12 goodness pumping through my speakers for 2 hours. |

The Last of the Mohicans, and not just because I wanted to bang Madeline Stowe.
and Platoon, most likely because I have watched it 50+times. I was remodeling a country cabin with no TV and all I had was a few VHS tapes with Platoon being the only one worth watching. |

There are way, way too many good movies to pick just one favorite. I don't even think I could narrow it down to top ten. This one will always be high up the list, though. There are just too many good lines. "It's love, in point of fact." "I aim to misbehave." "Ah Hell... I'm a fan of all seven. But right now... I'm gonna have to go with wrath." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxyciMFm7n8 View Quote |
