Pro tip.

Hook to something SOLID and don't just floor it.

Why are all these people trying to pull people out with fucking flimsy ass tow hooks?

Looks like it did have the factory tow hooks.  But they're attached to the bumper beam and the dumbass tore that off the bumper mounts by going way too fast.

With a snatch strap like that you only need to be rolling a little more than an idle and the strap will stretch then yank the struck vehicle.  I use one of those straps and have gotten vehicles as large as a Freightliner with a 53ft trailer unstuck using my Ranger.  It only takes a good tug and the strap does the work.

But with an idiot at the wheel like the kid in the video, it's going to be a festival of broken shit when structural limits are exceeded.

I'm guessing that still stung a bit

It sounded like he literally could not have driven that Ranger any faster.

I mean, he was going for it as if there was money and reputation involved...

Oh wait, there was

Similar thing happened to me a few years ago.  Got home from work and there was a Jeep Wrangler on top of the snow bank across the street from my driveway.  The teenage girl took a corner too fast and that's where she stopped.  I puller her out with a tow strap and then moved my Suburban closer to her Jeep so I could disconnect it.  She starts to drive away.  I had to explain to her that the strap was still connected and I didn't think she was going to drive away with my truck.  Idiot.

I really like the one from a few years ago with some dumb kids in the snow, and two regular cars - where they ended up ripping off the bodywork off the back of one of them.

This one?

That guy trying to jump in did a great job of risk assessment and reaction.  He could have gotten in.  But, he was more concerned about his legs and hip than the Jeep.
