After careful consideration I have come to a conclusion that OP should compile an authorized list of areas of history that can be studied without exposing us to bad or wrong study and ideas. That way our minds may remain pure and unpolluted by radical ideas. Once this list is compiled we can get rid of all works that are unauthorized and the study of these areas will no longer be a threat to our purity. It's a good idea IMHO and it's never been done before! Oh wait.......................................

I was always under the impression that the guys who were showing off Nazi stuff from their grandfathers had war trophies, not personal uniform items that grandpa wore.

My grandfather volunteered to fight against the fascists in Spain.

Never came back to the family afterwards, so I don't much about him.

Apparently some sort of idealist or adventurer. He had been horse cavalry in the US regular army before that.

Maybe you need to read more, plenty of people on ARFCOM know Dick Bong, Pappy Boyington, Joe Foss, Hubert Zemke, Robin Olds, Chuck Yeagar, Ed Bassett, and everyone knows Micheal Jackson.

Take a look at all the aces from WW2 sometime, scroll down a bit, then scroll down some more. Sooner or later you will notice that everyone is a German from the Luftwaffe, the top 100 aces from WW2 were all German. You would need 105 kills to break into the top 100, the top US ace (Dick Bong) had 40. German aces get talked about a lot because they had a ton of kills, not because we are all Nazis.

I don't have any of these Nazi ancestors or relatives, just the ones who fought against them, and who came back a little different from the experience.
If I had much to tell about it, I would, but no pictures, no real
stories other than uncle so and so (Great grandfathers brother, Gramps
went to the Pacific)

got stuck behind enemy lines somewhere, had to hide among corpses and
then when lines came back in ally favor he was unfucked but not
completely...

(this is about what I recall from childhood family talk, hell.. it could be dead on or inaccurate for all I know)

They really should have talked more about it for the benefit of their descendants.. But its understandable why they did not.
Unlike Nazis, I don't have to dehumanize enemies.
The Germans had some of the coolest and best shit, they had a great military and excellent engineering.
Nazis and their ideology = not cool, got what it had coming.

German items from WW2 branded with the Nazi name after the country fell to Nazism - Still cool shit.
There is more Nazi-phobia hype than Nazi hype.

Also, you cannot blame any German who ended up in uniform and served their country. You could have shot them, but not blamed them.

It's not that I like National Socialists, I just fucking hate Russians more. Russia has always been an enemy to freedom and America, right up to this very day.

Nazis did some evil shit, no doubt, but Russian communists murdered twice as many innocent folks as the damn Nazis.

So, Nazis, love 'em or hate 'em.....they sure killed a lot of Russians.
