thats a COOL shirt! I would have complimented him on his communist party shirt
reminds me of the time I was looking for NORINCO .45 ACP ammo and the guy that worked in the gunstore started lecturing me on communism and said the ammo is JUNK made by slave labor in China , etc, etc why I shouldnt buy it |
|
The girl that shares an office with me bought that shirt. I told her I was going to get her an Obama sticker to add to it to make it correct.
The shirt is just a word play on the "Communist Party". Since any one of those communists leaders would probably have killed any artist that depicted them that way, I don't take offence at the shirt. To me it is mocking them, not promoting them. |

Quoted: I am noticing a trend in the 2009 users (like I have any fucking room to talk) trying to fit in by posting stories/etc like this. the new draw down |

doesn't that pic make fun of communism? That's kind of what I thought when I saw the pic. Hax |

I am glad we have some people that just look at it and laugh, a bit at the "communist party" thing (boy I hope i got that shirt right...). |

Decaf. Seriously man. Life is too short to worry about somebody's fashion sense.

Even though it's a joke, it's still distasteful. The again I wear a Spikes Tactical "kills jihad on contact" shirt around, so who am I to pass judgment.

Should have just minded your own business, maybe you shouldn't drink.

Whoah. I know two very right wing and historically aware people who have that shirt. It really is just a joke. I should make you aware that Monty Python did a hilarious "Mr. Hilter" sketch without any big controversy. please explain the joke to me? Does the double entendre of "communist party" mask the fact that you have some of history's biggest murderers laughing it up? It's not funny to me. How do you feel about the Hitler memes on Youtube? |

Annoying people
1. Vegan who tells you meat is murder when you are eating a hamburger 2. Girl in a smoky bar who whines about cigarette smoke. You're in a bar lady. 3. Guy who throws a hissy when another adult stranger wears a joke shirt he doesn't think is funny. 4. Those who are offended by the cover of US weekly and need a special "family friendly" lane at the grocery store. Lets all try to not be such delicate flowers. |
|
I once worked with a guy who wore an "I <airplane> NY" shirt. Now THAT I can understand being offended by. The Communist party shirt, on the other hand? Eh. I guess I have bigger things to worry about.

Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: What if the shirt had Obama on it as well? http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r253/Torqued713/politics/communist-party-obama.jpg Shouldve 'shopped karma's 'OMG it spins' pic in with obama's head... I still have the .PSD file from when I made that... I may have to work on that idea... |

A mocking t-shirt is better then one of those dang Che shirts

Quoted: If you think this shirt is making fun of communisim you are a fool. It's only purpose is to introduce the communist flag to our country... You mean the Soviet flag? |

You're a fool.
Its a 'communist party'. It isn't pro-communism - its making fun of them. I love that design and would wear it. |

doesn't that pic make fun of communism? Communist Paty...get it ? Hey OP where do you shoot at ? I better not show up at your range with my Mosin-Nagant or SVT-40 rifles. |

Me thinks you just don't get it, It's a tongue in cheek style, humorus stab and is NOT pro communist. I have seen this shirt for sale on several conservative websites.

The guy mentioned in the OP probably couldn't get ANYONE to talk to him unless he wore this provocative shirt.
Was he wearing any pants? |

+1 One of my faves. Also the only Che shirts worth having. Some other good Che shirts I guess the OP would have a problem with my Type O Negative shirt with pseudo cyrillic writing, the band members profiles on a flag ala Soviet propaganda & the band's Hammer/Sickle/Gear logo. They are far from being communist, much less leftist (not quite 88 types but very non PC). |

If you think this shirt is making fun of communisim you are a fool. Yup...It's called a double entendre coupled with satire, neither of which is directly making fun or knocking communism itself. Although I wouldn't label this shirt as 100 % pro-communism, I wouldn't categorize it as anti-communism either. I do feel that it puts a positive spin on very negative subject matter and I don't think it's funny. Quoted:
The responses in this thread from people who don't understand that the shirt is a joke are so fucking stupid they've erased everything I learned in my final semester of college. Thanks a lot, assholes, and be expecting a bill for my tuition I think you need to go back to school and take informal logic... |

A mocking t-shirt is better then one of those dang Che shirts what a lot of people don't get is that the che shirts aren't about communism, they are about revolution. a lot of the braindead idiots that wear them equate communism to revolution now. |

So I'm at the bar tonight with a few friends when a guy walks in wearing this T-Shirt http://laughingsquid.com/wp-content/uploads/communist-party-t-shirt.gif At first I took a look at the shirt and gave the guy a disgruntled look. After another beer I pulled the gentlemen aside and asked him if he knew how many Hundreds of MILLIONS of people had died under the communist rule. He responded that he didn't know and said, "what do you want me to do, take off my shirt?" I responded no, that would make me a dick and I know we all want to have a good time. However, I would be cautious as to where you wore that shirt because me wearing a Hitler shirt would probably be less offensive than the shirt you're wearing. I wear a red shirt with a white hammer/sickle over a CCCP pretty regularly. No one has ever given me shit over it. First person to do so, gets intimate with his dentist. |

I saw a poster of that exact picture with the words "Welcome to the Party!" just last week. Almost bought it because I thought it was amusing. (plus since half of the campus are closet or not so closet socialists, it would have another level of humor for me).
But now I'm glad I didn't, since according to the OP I would be supporting communism in some way |
